TVs reduced after Christmas?

Our smart TV is dying and reboots the fire stick for hours. I would like to be able to watch on demand TV over Christmas. But DH says it will be like Olden Times (‘90s) and we should wait until John Lewis sale. Any ideas? Won’t be that big so LG/Samsung is £350ish atm. Thank you.

Curry's had a good sale on for Smart TVs, 43 inch and about £300

John Lewis may not be the cheapest but... he's right. A knowledgeable friend told me, many years ago, that if it's on the shelf for sale, it's already obsolete and there's 12 new models ready to go. Black Friday and cyber Monday are designed to get you to buy before Christmas whatever stock they desperately want off the shelves on 26th December. Which is why I'm still typing on this kind of slow tablet...

Ah, thank you. JL is because of the guarantee.

They shelved that: www.johnlewis.com/customer-services/prices-and-payment/never-knowingly-undersold

Have a look on eBay for refurb ones, we got ours (32" sharp smart TV) for £115 and it was like new

@Cheesecake53 , not so much the price match, think they were right to shelve that (tho’ do disagree with some of new CEO woman’s ideas) but mroe that if it breaks they will always repair or replace. We buy all big ticket items from them for security. Tho’ tbf could be tempted by super cheap refurbished. Think will be a 42” or so (fits into tidy alcove so can hide away when not watching).
