Anyone invested in Whisky

Thinking of investing someoney in whisky as a Xmas present for DH
has anyone done this.?

Is it legit? Almost all of the wine investments were scams, check this isn’t the same under a different name

Thr numbers don't tend to stack for investing in a barrel. If you can get your hands on a bottle of Macallan from their limited release (very uniform this year, you'd have to sign up for next year now) that could be a decent investment.

I have met someone who has made a lot from whiskey barrels, but it's long haul, as in need to seriously age it

Two of the previous posts are correct; many of the Wine Deals failed, we made some money but nowhere as much as was touted. It was not a scam, it just was not well done.
For whiskey, I think by now the really winning deals have been taken by the trade and only Second Grade still available. Can you tell the difference?
