Where are the sodding elves?

I've looked in the cupboard under the stairs ( usual place I've kept them ) and the loft. My DD is upset that they haven't arrived yet. How can I find them?.

Do a pre Christmas house declutter while checking each possible cupboard/ storage area until you find then?

How old is Dd? If she’s old enough to help search , she can help locate the missing elves.

Spend time with Dd ‘going on an Elf hunt’ searching each storage cupboard/ shelf / drawer , one by one, each time throwing out things no longer needed into a nearby bag, putting back things neatly, then rewarding with a hot chocolate / treat for job well done, and telling her “ we will find these cheeky elves, if we keep searching each place they’ll have nowhere left to hide!” You could put her favourite music on while you search

Good idea ( although I'll have to do a pre clean as I've hidden some presents)!

If you need to, can you just Distract from elves and play a different game ?
