Fresh Christmas food

Ive got a bit of extra cash in my food budget this week. I've bought a few dry goods over the last few weeks.

Any ideas of anything fresh/chilled I can buy that will last till Christmas week. I dont have much freezer space.

Cheese and chutney.

Good plan on cheese. I'll start checking use bys. I thought they might be a bit nearer the time.

Most cheese has a use by date of a few weeks, and will be fine for weeks/months after the date anyway, especially anything that is in wax or vacuum packed.

Or you could just save the money and buy things closer to Christmas?

Possibly bacon or smoked salmon?
