Fluffy slippers for ASD child

My 8yo DS wants some of those slippers that are like teddies where you put your foot in the belly. He loves cats, foxes, pandas and other cute animals.
Not pink ones because he likes the animal to be its proper colour but he doesn't mind glittery embellishments.
He's a size 2 and I just can't find any substantial ones that enclose the whole foot and look very soft.
I've checked clarkes, H&M, John Lewis, Matalan, Dichemann and a few others that I can't remember.

Has anyone seen any?

Would these ones from next be ok?

DD has the discontinued cat ones and she's heartbroken they don't fit anymore.

I managed to get some bunny ones which i hope they will do.

Possibly
I haven't checked Next actually. I'll look now.

Would these M&S ones be an option?

IsItMeOr · 03/12/2022 13:00

Or these lions from Boden?

These on Etsy are adorable, but you'd need to figure out whether the US sizes work. Also, not sure whether they'd arrive in time from US.

Or would any of www.sewheartfelt.co.uk/collections/children-slippers these work?

IsItMeOr · 03/12/2022 13:19

Fatface have these

Good luck, you probably won't be surprised to hear I also have a child with ASD.

Did you mention his ASD because of sensory sensitivities that mean you need to be able to feel the slippers first?

If not, there are loads of these sorts of thing on Amazon (if you can bear to use Amazon, that is).

I think mainly to explain why he's being so specific and why he's not wanting typical 'boy' type slippers.
I've tried amazon but I can't see any nice ones in his size. They seem to be either for little kids or adults.

@ofwarren, I see! OK, if you're happy to order online, how about these? The small is equivalent to a UK 3, so a bit big, but maybe it won't matter given they look very padded. www.dollskill.com/products/sloth-hugs-fuzzy-slippers

We have the beige/brown bear ones from Tiger, they also do a nice brown hedgehog flyingtiger.com/pages/search-results-jsv2?q=slippers&_gl=1yzrk8p_upMQ.._gaMTQ5MTQ0ODY1OC4xNjcwMDk2OTY4_ga_6C7F3V1WH3*MTY3MDA5NzEyNC4xLjEuMTY3MDA5NzEyNC4wLjAuMA..

It mentions tax when you go to checkout. Do they turn up OK?
I wouldn't want one of those that charges you extra once it arrives because its not from the UK.
My DH got stung for nearly £20 once.

Oh sorry, we bought them in store. They say all taxes and duties are included in their customer info section, but I haven’t bought online from them to know for sure.

No worries, I know what it’s like to have a child who is very particular with how things feel and look :)
