Inspired by some threads on here that Christmas is all stress . People grumbling about the cost , relatives visiting etc , bloody elf on the shelf etc.
for me it’s all about too much making it into perfect and dreams which imo is unrealistic.
this week I’ve had db who I don’t see all year and won’t see at Christmas honestly hassling me constantly about what I want for Christmas.I honestly don’t want anything what I would like is a family that would want to spend time with each other and the thing is is he wants to buy a gift but can’t be arsed to put any thought in .
2nd of all a relative asking if i’m having a party over Christmas . No I stopped that a couple of years ago when I realised invitations weren’t reciprocated and it was expected of me it’s just work , and again the family thing some can’t be arsed making the effort .
I enjoy spending time with my family at Christmas I do . I love getting plenty of food and drink in but I’m not going mad on gifts .
I feel for people that can’t afford it and this commercial hype and I need to get people a gift needs to stop .
