I just got Shop alert that my SG Malbec has been dispatched but I also got an email that it was cancelled. Well I have another one in depot waiting for delivery but it was the Malbec I really wanted.

I got one cancellation, and one that was apparently delivered ered to somewhere almost 300 miles away. Not good at all.

Now wondering whether to send the £30 gift voucher as the present explaining I'd bought a wine and cheese tasting kit but that they can use it for that or something else. Do we all think its OK for the gift cards to be transferred like that?

I feel morally torn about the £30 voucher. The giveaway was not used by many in the spirit it was intended and some used it multiple times. I imagine the owners have had a crap time this week trying to sort it all out. There is a bargain and there is greed. Small businesses should not have had this extra hassle.

I agree - I only ordered one for that reason. However, they kept that voucher code working for ages ........

I was wondering the same thing - was going to order a cheese and wine tasting voucher. It says just to scan the voucher and the kit will be on the way. Don’t really want to gift a voucher for it if it then means the recipient having to shell out for postage.

My case of wine just arrived! I never had a despatch email and it's still saying "unfulfilled" against the order. Oh well, I'm glad to have it.
I'm going to leave trying to use my voucher until the new year - sound like they have enough on their plates and it was going to be a treat for me rather than a gift anyway

Also got a smashed grapes gift voucher. I’d emailed about the Santa sack last week
and they’ve just replied saying they’re running behind orders due to staff shortages but have reassured me that it will arrive before Christmas. Fingers crossed

I'm gutted about the smashed grapes cancellation. That was going to be for me and DP when the DC have gone to bed on Christmas Eve, can anyone recommend anything similar? I don't want to buy loads of bits and piece to make my own. It all being picked and packaged into one was appealing for me

You can't use it to buy a voucher I don't think. I'd just gift the voucher personally

I was going to just print off the vouchers and stick them in a nice card but DH thinks it's a bit naff. Just to clarify I ordered one and he ordered one to be sent out to parents. Now I've got to find replacement gifts that are cheap but not naff. I hate Christmas!

I think smashed grapes sent the first emails hoping to get a lot of cancellations to make it manageable but didn’t get enough. I feel bad for them but equally think they need to give refunds when they haven’t asked if we want these vouchers instead.

The SG vouchers do stack, so I got 7 bottles of wines with free delivery for £14 plus the original postage costs of 2 x £3.99. Means, that original recipients will need alternative gifts.
