I suppose I could have called this the 'Anti' Christmas thread, or 'I hate Christmas' thread, or even 'Bah Humbu' thread

These sound rather nasty, so I thought this one may be better.

Christmas is such a sad occasion for may people, as well as being stressful. A kind of forced jollity, if you like.

Perhaps we could could all help each other out during this so-called festive season.

I'm glad you chose that name over the others. I don't dislike christmas, but i don't actively like it either. Happy for it to be going on around me, so long as i don't have to join in. DH works christmas morning, and no close family and no kids so although it's not sad or stressful for me, it's all just a bit of a non-event.

i dont hate christmas, i just have a lot of trauma around it so its difficult for me and i do my best to just grit my teeth and get through it
