As usual I've left things really late and cNt book up (I really fancied Kew this year, although the cost is eye watering)

Any suggestions for free or relatively inexpensive things we could do? Anything going on along the Thames? We are happy with lights and window displays. Doesn't have to be fancy.

St Pauls has free carol concerts (some are free but you have to book a ticket first): www.stpauls.co.uk/whats-on

There's also a Christmas market by the river at Southbank www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whats-on/winter-market?eventId=925011

and one at London Bridge, plus you can wander around Borough Market.

Winter Wonderland does free off-peak entry

Fortnum and Mason is worth a look for their window displays. Inside is probably carnage though.
