My boyfriend has asked for whine for his birthday (not long after Christmas so hopefully okay to go on this thread) so I've got him 6 bottles that he chose as we were in morrisons and the buy 6 get 25% offer was/is on.
I've decided to do some kind of food box/hamper to go with it as I want to make it a bit more special. So far I've got:
6 bottles of wine
101 Reasons To Have A Glass Of Wine book
A box of sensations crisps
M&S Teriyaki Sauce
Kikkoman Soy Sauce
Hot Pepper Sauce

I don't know what else to get for it 🤔
My current ideas are:
Fancy oil
Costa gift card
Coffee beans
Wine glass (but I don't drink so have no idea what's good)
Beef jerky
Candy kittens
Some of the 'special' mayonnaise flavour bottles as he loves mayonnaise

What else?? What would you like? What do I even put it all in? 🤷‍♀️🤣

Cheese? A really nice vintage cheddar or something really stinky? Like Vacherin? Then you can get posh crackers/water biscuits.

Nice chocolate?

I'd get a cheese and charcuterie hamper thing from a farm shop if it were me, they often put in lovely nibbles like olives and crackers and unusual but lovely things like that.

Wine aerator
Wine tasting voucher for local vineyard
Posh chocs
Joe and Seph gourmet popcorn
Chutney (to go with the cheese suggested above!)

Our local farm shop has hamper baskets. Otherwise Amazon or hobby craft will have some. It's also worth looking on FB marketplace as you might find one secondhand.

TK max has a great selection of glasses in at the minute and spotted in home bargains this week - various sized wooden boxes and crates, add some of the shredded brown paper for the bottom.

Cheese, crackers, pate, grapes, olives.

The crisps, soy sauce and mayonnaise etc all seem a bit random and jumble sale – I’d do proper food that goes with the wine like the cheese, charcuterie, olives etc suggested above. If he likes wine doesn’t he already have wine glasses? If he just has random mismatched ones, a decent matching set – of the proper size for the colour of wine he prefers.

A nice Scotch egg or pork pie from a local butchers? Or some homemade jams and chutneys from a local seller.
