What have you bought for your own Mum? Ideas needed

I’ve bought my lovely mum theatre tickets but I want to get her a small gift to unwrap whilst we have dinner. She does the same thing for me and my family. I’m struggling for ideas.
Around £20-£30 would be ideal.
She is partially sighted so books are a no go. I’ve done the usual candle, creams, perfumes etc before so I’m trying to find something else. She likes going out walking, and she enjoys baking but a recipe book is no good as she wouldn’t be able to see the print without using a magnifying glass. She uses an iPad on Zoom for recipes and listens to audiobooks.
I wanted a physical gift to go with the theatre tickets rather than another voucher or ticket.
What have you all bought for your Mum? I’m hoping for some inspiration.

I got my mum wrist warmers from turtle doves. I liked them so much after buying a couple for gifts last year that I may have also bought some for myself...

My mum is so difficult to buy for.
So far she has moisturiser and eye cream she likes, a book, some florentines and a photo calendar. Will get her an orchid as well.

MIL has gin, tonic, a diary, a book, liquorice all sorts and a photo calendar.

50 wooden coat hangers. It's what she asked for.

Eleusa · 27/11/2022 08:58

I’m a baker and would love something like this www.lakeland.co.uk/32989/mason-cash-in-the-forest-mixing-bowl-26cm-dia

PuttingDownRoots · 27/11/2022 09:01

Her request was a blanket hoodie.

Also got her DDs school photos.

ticktickticktickBOOM · 27/11/2022 09:05

double electric blanket for mum and dad

FartOutLoudDay · 27/11/2022 09:17

Solitaire board (the game with the marbles) and wax melts, book and chocolates for her stocking. We’re clubbing together to buy them a new TV as none of theirs are working, so these are just extras.

Filterphobia · 27/11/2022 09:22

@Eleusa that is lovely and think she would like but she has a kitchen aid mixer so I can’t help but wonder if she would make much use of it.
Thank you all for the ideas, some good suggestions to browse through 😊

Electric hand warmers, I have a pair from Amazon that are on offer at the moment for under £30 and love them for when I'm out walking.

I've spent just over £40 and got her:
Bathroom stickers (she asked for the same ones we have)
A Dove set (I got this in the boxing day sales last year)
A bottle of fried egg sweets
Fluffy animal socks
Foam shower gel
Garfield pjs
Me to you chocolates
A password book (got my dad one of these top as they both struggle to remember their passwords for things)
Penguin ice cube mould (my dad's getting one of these too)
Shampoo bar

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 27/11/2022 09:47

Compression gloves for her painful hands
Some bits of makeup she asked for
Gin
Framed print of her favourite view in her favourite place
Silver seahorse necklace (backstory - I bought her one for her birthday when I was little and she loved it but lost it a few years ago)

Would she be able to read on a kindle? You can make the font very big.

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 27/11/2022 10:03

What about an audible subscription? My mama can't see to read anymore but has audible on her iPad and uses it all the time.

I'm a baker, and one of the best gifts I got as a moving in present to my house was a silicone spoon/spatula. I always make a mental note to buy another one or two as in forever washing the one I have whilst baking. Does she do bakes where she needs to make different coloured batters, butter creams or drips? If so, something like this would be so handy for stirring up different coloured buttercreams - www.lakeland.co.uk/32441/my-kitchen-silicone-coated-mini-spoon-spatula-colours-vary

(You will get them cheaper elsewhere - that price is just for one.)

I spend a fortune on my baking hobby so really appreciate it when people buy me little gifts like that, which I'll use for years and years.

Next on my list is to find myself a nice tall dish I can present my bakes on when at home and keep them sealed tight with a lid, too. A lot of my cake boxes are all domed or short so I can't put my taller bakes in.

Could you do a link for someone who is not tech savvy and rubbish at online searches?

Mrsfussypants1 · 27/11/2022 12:19

@tothelefttotheleft it's the 2 pack Cnkeeo one, every time I post an amazon link it shows my account details to everyone, I can't work out how to change it. The Ocoopa ones have fab reviews too, some are single packs.

YuliaJollyberry · 27/11/2022 12:19

A beaded wrap scarf/shawl when we got theatre tickets one year.

This year a leather handbag and things to put in, mini hand cream, lip balm, mints etc.

XelaM · 27/11/2022 12:44

Svarowski jewellery and a collection of magnets with photos of me, my daughter and our pets

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2022 16:41

I've given up trying to think of anything innovative for my mum. I never feel I get it right.

Nowadays she gets flowers, wine, whisky, chocolate or a combination thereof, and gets taken out for a nice lunch.

Cocolapew · 27/11/2022 16:44

A scarf in the tartan of the Parachute Regiment. My Dad died a year ago and he was in the Paras, my mum has suddenly got a new found love for it 😄. She doesn't go out anymore but is always cold so I thought it might warm her up a bit.

thefiddlerselbow · 27/11/2022 22:35

I've just ordered my Mum a bag from the Braeburn sale for her December birthday.
She also wants something to keep her warm so I'm looking at throws and cosy dressing gowns.

CaramelizedNuts · 30/11/2022 22:25

I've bought mine a Jellycat amuseable cactus for her shelf. It's so cute I want to keep it! No idea what else!
