Casual work party outfits?

I'm 32, size 10-12, pear shaped, and have no idea what to wear to my casual work Christmas party. It's a sit down meal at a pub, followed by drinks and karaoke. Looking for a casual dress but struggling to find something that isn't skin tight, or twee and floral patterned, like my gran's curtains. Any thoughts?

My first though was black trousers/jean, nice boots and a glitzy top. maybe like this.

Im similar too you 33 and a size 10-12 and skater dresses are most flattering, maybe find one in a block colour like this.

Similar to you. Im 34 and size 10/12 pear shape. My go to is a 50s style swing dress as its fitted on top and flares out hiding my problem areas!

I usually buy from hell bunny but theres some on amazon too. I have petticoats too, to dress them up for weddings so get plenty of wear! Collectif are lovely too but are pricier.

Plain top in a bright green. A friend of mine did this for a night out recently and hit the sweet spot between casual and looking fab. She wore red lipstick, too.

Think about what style clothing suits you or you're comfortable and look for something similar but a bit dressy.

Like ur size is slim so pair of back trousers with a nice top like a corset or strapless top with a little jacket on top never fails and a choker or necklace
Do ur makeup more heavier than usual and match hair accessory to colour of top etc

Failing that a little black dress like a skater dress is really classy and gd for dos

@ElizabethinherGermanGarden any chance you could link an image of something similar? It sounds lovely. I Googled 'green going out top' but not getting anything like I have in my head. Davina looks gorgeous in this but it's sold out in most sizes. Or was it a bit more a going out-out top like this?

It was almost exactly this shape, but in emerald green. I haven't found the exact one - have been looking. She had big gold earrings and red lipstick and looked a million dollars.
