Just found the Christmas pjs and Christmas jumpers I bought in last years post-Christmas sales, in this years sizes, that I had totally forgotten about. They were tucked away with the Christmas decs. I know it’s not much to most people but it was genuinely a lovely surprise that I needed today🎅🏼

Yeah! I am unreasonably smug at having bought DS1 an Xmas jumper last January for pennies as they’ve just announced school Xmas jumper day.

I think it’s a wonderful idea and good for you.

I do this often, I buy small bits in the post Christmas sale and it’s always a nice surprise when this time comes round and I have it already, at a slightly cheaper price too!

I looked in our Christmas/junk cupboard today and discovered we have an artificial Christmas tree which I must have bought last year but have no memory of at all. Given I was just about to order one as we can't have a proper tree this year, I was pleasantly surprised.

I am starting to check really carefully in the house for items before buying anything new now. Prices are crazy at the mo.

Kind of similar but DH had to go in the loft today (for the Xmas tree) and said 'did you know there's around 12 unopened rolls of wrapping paper up here?'
I did not know! And nearly bought some this morning.

Well done! I always think about doing this but then I'm always too skint after Xmas to actually follow through. I am envious
