Thanks @Robstersgirl for the title. Wonder if it was the thread that did it!

Not sure if mentioned already but Natural Baby Shower has some good discounts on Tonies including the bundle of starter box, headphones, carry case that I paid £94 for a few months ago at £83 😏I’ve also put my referral code for 15% off for new customer on the bargain referrals thread

The hair milk is just on Amazon but at a cheaper price (or was) than puffalicious was paying in her local salon! So she tipped off the thread and the 🐑 all piled in. Anything up to around £9 is good value I think.

I love this summary! It's mental when I recommended a little thing that I love to use, now there's dozens of folk smelling of milkshake and I love with their hair. The power of MN!

Puffalicious · 26/11/2022 00:16

*in love with their hair

BloodyMabel · 26/11/2022 00:43

@buckeejit Oh I hope I know you in real life! What a lovely thing to do ☺️

InDreamland · 26/11/2022 02:14

Just bought 3 bars of the 850g Dairy Milk 🙈 I'm such a 🐑
I don't even eat the stuff. Now to decide who to give them to.
Being up with poorly baby does crazy things to me.

2023willbegreat · 26/11/2022 02:45

Oh my goodness! I’ve just looked at the contents of my Snag Mystery Bags which were mentioned upthread and they are great! Once you’ve ordered you can see exactly what’s in the bags you are getting. The normal prices of mine range from £9.99 to £18.99 with most at £14.99.

The Mystery Bags are £10 for 3 pairs, £9 if you buy 3 or more bags, plus 3.99 postage. Only sizes A - E left now, but worth a try if your style is what they describe as “Goth.”

nicky2512 · 26/11/2022 05:59

I’m not well at the minute and up with a nosebleed - and still can’t get the chocolate!! Shame on you Amazon!!!

@buckeejit this is the one I used. I paid with PayPal and had dispatch notification that it’s on way with DPD. Only thing is the ABC is now out of stock so I went with the one with air purifier.

@penguintattoo and @Nnat thanks for the suggestions - off to check them out/ have a look.

@Beachhutnut if they are into cooking, check out Olia Herculess cook books. She’s a person behind Cook for Ukraine movement, has donated loads to the country. Cookbooks are lovely, full of Ukrainian recipes.

@smootholive I've done this few times now. I managed to get a box of individually wrapped stroopwaffles last year if your looking for something a bit of a treat.
My mum was a teacher and really there's only so much wine/chocolate/bath stuff/best teacher mugs a person can handle or fit in their house.

When my son was in primary, I'd send in a box with Christmas treats, mince pies, chocs, tea & coffee. Ds enjoyed choosing the treats and decorating the box the weekend before 1st Dec. The staff enjoyed having something decent to snack on at breaktime.

FlamingJingleBells · 26/11/2022 06:11

Lidl and Aldi are good for inexpensive Christmas treats to include in hampers.

ChristmasCwtch · 26/11/2022 06:16

Now searching for hair milk 🐑 I want to smell like a milkshake too 😂

MistletoeMouse · 26/11/2022 06:47

Just a note for anyone thinking of ordering from APPROVED FOOD. They specialise in surplus and short dated stock. Their £3 850g Dairy milk is dated Feb 2023, which is fine. But their Lindt giant balls and assorted Lindor boxes are dated July/ August 22 so actually out of date and no good to gift.

IamChipmunk · 26/11/2022 06:50

@LutherRalph1 thanks for the link!
We have ordered from Very in the end and opened the credit account for 20% off. so got the switch and two games for £317 so not too bad 🙈😬

Will close the account as soon as it arrives.

mumonthehill · 26/11/2022 07:00

my hc wreath arrived, me and ds are now trying to find reasons why FIL cannot have it, it is lovely and I want it!!!!

£315 not £317! Sorry!

Amandasummers · 26/11/2022 07:07

Any suggestions for a "make up starter kit" type thing? dd is year 7 and is asking about make up and stuff but currently doesn't wear it and has no clue (neither do i) she is very very fair skinned just to make matters more difficult. At some point, I'm hoping to take her t a department store to get actual advice about her skin and all that malarkey but right now just thought a little kit for her to play around with in private would be worth a shot! Have seen the vegan revolution set on super drug for £20 but thought I'd see if there was any other recommendations!

mummymilkfloat · 26/11/2022 07:17

@Scout2016 my 7 year old has a couple of these books

the text is too old really but the pictures are really cool, I don’t know how it works but it’s worth seeing if you can find a video of what they look like!

Karatechopp · 26/11/2022 07:18

That link won't work for me, my son is psg mad!

try that

Flubadubba · 26/11/2022 07:23

@Amandasummers Revolution is a good place to start if it's all about experimenting at this stage. Quality is decent for the price, but equally cheap enough to work out what she likes.

I'd also get a set of brushes- Amazon have a good set of Real Techniques ones for about £10 atm (52% off: Deal of the day: REAL TECHNIQUES,5 Count (Pack of 1) Everyday Essentials Makeup Brush Complete Face Set (Miracle Complexion Sponge, Expert Face, Blush, Setting and Deluxe Crease Brushes) amzn.eu/d/6ersgJ1)

@Amandasummers revolution is a great starter for makeup, good price and quality.
When older I’d recommend looking for a local MUA and getting a makeup lesson, these are fab because they discuss the importance of skincare and will recommend products that are suitable for her & how to apply. I know an amazing mua if you’re based in the North-east.

Scout2016 · 26/11/2022 07:37

@Amandasummers Barry M have some good offers on, also decent quality for the price. The animal charity eyeshaow ones look lovely although maybe too bright. The colour change lip sticks are fun. I put one in a cracker one year as a daft gamble, the recipient says they have had lots of compliments when they wear it.

@mummymilkfloat thank you!

Amandasummers · 26/11/2022 07:43

@Flubadubba @IggyAce @Scout2016 thank you!!! Looks like the set I saw might be worth a punt! Will add those make up brushes to my basket also!

She does keep mentioning skin care, I don't know where to start with that either!

Have been thinking of going to a professional for a makeup lesson myself as I have no idea and just chuck it on. I put eyeshadow on with my finger last night 🤣

Crapbags · 26/11/2022 07:46

Limited-time deal: Tiong Vintage Smooth Quartz Pocket Watch Classic Fob Watch with Short Chain for Men Women on Birthday Anniversary Day Christmas Fathers Day amzn.eu/d/aiGkRk5

just noticed this on my Amazon thought might be nice little gift for those who are after ‘Goth’ type gifts.

also wondering if anyone has any recommendations for smart watches for my 9 yr old DS? He has put the kidizoom one on his list but I’m wondering if it’s a bit ‘young’ for him?
