escape room board games?

Any recommendations for escape room board games that would be good for a family with older teens (16 and 19 year olds) and adults? I'm not sure if some of the 'family' ones that are advertised would be hard enough. I've never tried a board game version so not sure what they're like but I thought it might be a good present for a family.

We've done some of the Exit games.

They can only be done once as you tend to have to cut up and draw on bits but they are tricky and take us a full evening using a lot of hints.

We’ve done a couple of the Exit ones - they’re not board games in that you don’t go round a board and it’s fully collaborative as you’d expect, but there’s a good hour or so of game play. My daughter is way younger - 13yo - and we did a 3/5 rating the other day and the adults struggled a fair bit. It was challenging. A 5/5 might suit you :)

The EXIT ones are great. We did a few last year with ds who was 11 and the 1/2 star ones were perfect difficulty so I’d go for harder one for older teens.

agree the Exit ones are good - the puzzles work and make sense. we got a different brand once and the puzzles were simply nonsense

Thanks everyone, I'll look up the Exit ones. I didn't know you could get them in different levels - I've never really heard of this thing before, but saw a sort of Escape room boxed game/kit in John Lewis the other day, and it made me think it might be a good present for a family (not mine). I've given them board games before but thought this might be something different. I'm looking for around the £15-20 range though, which might be a bit low for a good one.

oh actually it looks like that price range is about right. Now just to pick an interesting one at the right level :)
