Any idea where I can find discounted Sylvanian families?

They’re not really something that gets discounted unfortunately. Your best bet would be a pre-used bundle from ebay, and even then they’re not that cheap.

Needmorelego · 19/11/2022 12:31

Tkmaxx or secondhand.

Pinniepotter · 19/11/2022 12:36

I've bought bundles off eBay

formulatingAresponse · 19/11/2022 12:37

My DD was delighted with secondhand Sylvanians esp the discontinued items.

We actually had a lot of fun driving around to pick them up from various locations

But yes TKMaxx if you're lucky might have the occasional item. We bought a few from there.

We bought lots of new stuff too. Toys R us always had the figures not sure where you'd get those now tbh

Hugasauras · 19/11/2022 12:37

FB marketplace. I got a bundle of 50 pristine figures for a tenner. Of course DD took all their clothes off instantly.

formulatingAresponse · 19/11/2022 12:37

And no they're rarely discounted

trailrunner85 · 19/11/2022 12:37

They had families (ie not the houses, just the creatures) in the middle aisle of my local Aldi last week, but tbh they weren't that much cheaper than usual.

SushiSuave · 19/11/2022 12:38

Aldi have some koala and rabbit families at the moment

RidingMyBike · 19/11/2022 12:38

They're often on FB marketplace

LIZS · 19/11/2022 12:43

You may find "added value" packs ie. Houses with furniture and/or figures - Argos, Smyths, Toymaster , the Entertainer or the SF website may have them

DesignerRecliner · 19/11/2022 13:03

Black Friday at Amazon and Smyths/The entertainer is a good bet

WeirdPookah · 19/11/2022 13:13

Home Bargains has a woodland cottage with a couple of figures and some furniture, about half retail I think.

FallingsHowIFeel · 19/11/2022 13:22

I’ve picked some up from Amazon, Smyths and Very, they all have offers on at the moment on certain items.

Inasec24 · 19/11/2022 13:29

I have bought all of DDs pre-loved. It is good quality and really lasts so it is a good thing to buy second hand.

Also Aldi had some discounted sets recently so worth checking their website

shash1982 · 19/11/2022 14:01

Try argos, smyths and the entertainer for starter set bundles that usually include a cottage, figures and furniture.

TinkerLloyd · 19/11/2022 14:12

Amazing, thanks everyone for tips!

Smyths had money off some Sylvanian stuff a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if they still do but it was on their website.

Longwhiskers · 19/11/2022 14:42

I got a hedgehog family off Vinted for my daughter’s birthday,’perfect condition.

RedToothBrush · 19/11/2022 14:53

Aldi had some very reasonably priced last week.

AppleandSpice · 19/11/2022 15:11

Yes second hand is your best bet, also keep an eye on the half price toy sales as Tesco used to have some good deals on sylvanian in previous years (not sure if they still sell it though)
Amazon prices can be good if you keep an eye on them as they go up and down managed to get the cosy cottage thing and the big furniture set for a family member relatively cheap this way.
