He managed to pull the tree down last year when he was only tiny so I know it will happen multiple times this year if he can reach it and he's very likley to be walking by Christmas as well.

What decoration are toddler safe and where do I put the tree?

Yep 🙈 he was laying next to it playing with a bauble and he must have pulled it too hard 😬

You can get fences for them. Have a look on amazon.
We ended up using a play pen one year 🤣

Your little one is still perhaps a bit young for this, but when mine was a toddler we used to point out one (plastic!) decoration that was hung on the tree at low level that he was allowed to touch/poke/spin!
Stopped him pulling at the rest of the tree!
