A private chef as a Christmas gift - yay or nay

Want to get Mum and Dad something a bit different this year. She has countless spa trips with her pals.

They love to travel but they have a motor home so I think a hotel voucher would be wasted on them.

I wondered whether another option would be to pay for a private chef to come to the house to cook for them and maybe 4 of their friends (so my parents and two other couples). It does mean that their Xmas gift is basically "shared" with friends though and also it's kind of over in an evening.

Would you prefer a hotel voucher or theatre tickets instead of a private chef? I just thought it was kind of unusual?! Thoughts appreciated

I would worry about when the last time I cleaned my oven or the state ofy cupboards etc. It would stress me out.

Sorry!

I would much prefer a pre paid meal out somewhere

I would love it. Especially if they have a great choice of dishes.

My husband would hate someone in hospital space.

The Go Pro camera suggestion is a great idea if they don't have already. It is something I plan on scooping up in the boxing day sales.

We were given a voucher for yhangry - was really great, we got to choose a menu to suit us from the options, really generous portions so lots of yummy left overs.felt a little weird at first especially in our tiny flat but would defo recommend yhangry.com

And I can confirm I saw this company on a very influential influencers instagram just recently ha.and she said they were the best.they catered for her adults friend and her little boys birthday.👌
And they are posh folk,or not short of money either or.basically I mean they choose high end things.😉
