Christmas charity hampers

our school is wanting to do hampers this year. They have done Samaritans purse in the past but this has been flagged as controversy (I forget the reason).

i have seen Paddington Bear ones promoted by unicef - are these ‘good’?

It’s nice to get the children engaged - but maybe wrapped gifts to a local childrens hospice or the Samaritans?

We used to do shoe boxes for the homeless that the salvation army came in and collected and did a little chat in assembly about . Just little gloves toiletries sweets and a small toy so they brought a few things each week . Nothing too onerous .
