Hello! I'm hopeful that someone can help, my son hasn't come up with anything for Christmas and I'm scrabbling. The next month is busy with birthdays so I'd like to get organised.

He's quite sporty, loves football not really into Lego etc. Though. All suggestions appreciated!

Pogo stick.

Kit for his favourite club, or national, team.

Tour of Wembley (if he is an England fan!), or of his club stadium if they do them.

Ballboy for a day experience at his club team.

Tickets for a game, if he doesn't usually go.

Guiness Book of Records.

I also have a 9 year old son and really struggling for Christmas presents this year!

he’s recently into Harry Potter, so I think I’ll get
him the lovely set of illustrated HP books and probably a HP lego set

full football kit

probably a couple of ‘name’ clothing items eg nike hoodie.

a television in his room - currently pg with DS2 and would like to make his room a place he can go and chill out and escape from a screaming baby if he needs to.

speedometer for his bike and also the little lights for his wheels

new headset for his Nintendo switch and probably a new game for it (usually leave this bit to DP I have no idea about games!!)

always buy him a board game we can play as a family, I think he’d like the ‘headbanz’ one

we Got him an Oodie for his birthday a couple of weeks ago and that went down very well if your DS doesn’t already have one!

he’ll also get a stocking with things like new felt tips and notebooks (he loves writing and colouring) World Cup football stickers, bath bomb, cosy socks, chocolate.

Some great ideas on this thread I might pad on to family members who also have no idea what to get him!

Football billionaire game
Star wars lego
Oodie
Games for his switch
NBA Basketball top (from ebay as new so expensive)

Ticket to a musical the week after Christmas (whole family)

And for his bday which is close to Christmas :
Fifa 23 and some points or whatever they are called for in app trading
Pyjamas of his favourite football team
New cool scooter (from grandparents) - as in stunt and cool brand not micro like all previous ones
A RC tarantula battle thing I saw in The Entertainer sale

Joining this thread to give and take ideas, 9 year old boy here who doesn't need/want tech apart from a TV for his room so we have got him that. He's also not very interested in lego etc. Got/getting so far:

Tv (hoping for second hand or BF deal)
Guiness book of records
An LED light in the shape of a ps5 games console
A cushion covered in an ps5 remote pattern
A fart ninja
A battle set of army figures
A Greggs voucher (inspo from another thread)
Guess poo game

He certainly doesn't need much more than that but will get a new set of clothes and a large chocolate santa or similar as well most likely.

WaltonOnNaze · 16/11/2022 18:33

That reminds me I have fart ninjas put away for them too - must add to list

yoshiblue · 16/11/2022 19:10

My son is having a new scooter as he uses one every day to go to school. Also a switch game from the family.

I presume you've considered a football strip, stadium tour, new football boots. Training top/coat again branded with his fav team.

How about another sport - Decathlon do a great tennis net we use all summer in the garden, or an archery set?
