Secret Santa, Early 20's Female

Hoping someone might be an early 20's female or have a DD in that age bracket... would love some help with my work secret Santa.

I've got our new trainee in the SS draw. I'm in my 40's and she hasn't done a rotation with me yet so we've only ever had two conversations although we've been in the odd meeting together. She seems very nice and bright. I'd like to get her something she will like.

I've observed:

  • She is very pretty and always really well dressed.
  • She is very slim so not sure she goes in for much in the way of chocolate.
  • When she works from home I can see her bedroom and it looks really neat with lots of sparkly bits.
  • She lives with a boyfriend so has her own place.

Was thinking some sort of home fragrance / candle or a bath type set. Have no idea what brands she might like. It's a budget of £15.

Grateful for any pointers. 🙏

And yes, I realise I sound like a stalker.

Do you have a TKMaxx near you? They have so many nice candles! Sometimes you can drop on a 'This Works' or 'Neom' one for around your budget?! Otherwise I would think maybe a posh bubble bath or shower gel! Personally I would prefer something like the Molton Brown Christmas Cracker with the minis in? Or a White Company bubble Bath, doesn't look like much but they are actually really 'treat' presents in my eyes!

Otherwise she sounds like a nice girl so I'm sure she will be happy with anything you decide! Does she get the train or bus to work? Maybe a new scarf to keep warm!

declutteringmymind · 15/11/2022 20:08

A small rituals gift set?

Mushroo · 15/11/2022 20:10

Someone bought me a Parker pen and it was actually a lovely work gift - I still use it!

Otherwise a nice candle, posh shower stuff or a Starbucks voucher.

A book of short stories. Or a lovely notebook and pen.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/11/2022 20:25

TK Maxx a good call for candles

A couple of really lovely Christmas tree decorations

How about a Joma Jewellery bracelet or a Katie Loxton pouch? Makes it something for her rather than the home?

Thank you all so much. Feel much happier now I have some brand names to work with!

@FTM2022SS, completely agree re nice treat brands especially at Christmas.

@Mushroo, coffee voucher is a great shout. If I get lucky with the Black Friday sales I'll be able to get something lovely to unwrap and top up with a coffee voucher.

@Someaddedsugar, I've just discovered the Katie Loxton outlet. That's solved a few shopping dilemmas.

Please not a candle 😵‍💫

SylviasMotherSaid · 15/11/2022 23:03

If it’s something she will use at work what about nice stationery from Paperchase -notepad /pens ? Most of 20 somethings I work with are crazy about nice stationery and really appreciate a nice pen and fancy notepads /PostIts

soundsystem · 15/11/2022 23:06

Another vote for stationery, Paperchase or Typo

I got our young NQT(24) in secret Santa. My dd (similar age) and friends all rave about snow fairy from
Lush. I mentioned it in staff room and she said how much she loves it too - as did other similar aged girl. I bought her the 'fairy dust' which seems to be some sort of powder with a shimmer in it. Overpriced and too sweet in my opinion but seems to be what a lot in that age group like! She's pretty and a bit into sparkly things too!

Someaddedsugar · 16/11/2022 06:50

Martha Brook have a gorgeous range of stationery including personalised notebooks. Or Papier do lovely diaries and there are often £15 off offers referrals - I have a referral code if you want it.

PatChaunceysFruitCake · 17/11/2022 09:13

Thanks again for the ideas. Have confidence I'm not going to pick something awful. Will do a bit more stalking before the Black Friday sales!

Why would being slim mean no chocolate?

I have been skinny most my life, Im now 'healthy' at 10st and 5ft8 but use to be 7st... as far as I'm aware than never banned me from chocolate, if anything people use to give me lots given I was naturally underweight and they wanted me to 'fatten' up to average.

if she likes sparkles (like me) how about a dress (rather than expensive diamond) tennis bracelet or something... like any of these

Inasec24 · 17/11/2022 13:03

Can she drive? Rituals car fragrance.

Or Glossier is a good brand for that demographic.

Inasec24 · 17/11/2022 13:04

Also Zara do some lovely perfumes
