Tree lights- how many?!

This year is our second Christmas in our new house, and we've had to get a bigger tree due to the high ceilings dwarfing our old one last year!

So for those with a 9ft tree- how many lights do you have on yours? Google is telling me anything from 1000 to 3000

Lovely tree. We've just finished ours (always aim to get it done by the end of November as we can enjoy it for longer. The month goes so quickly!) In our yoof we travelled a lot more and where ever we went it was my mission to buy a tree dec or two (or more.....) So putting up our tree is a magical trip around the world. I will try to add a photo if possible (technophobe!)

Sounds lovely! We do similar- get a bauble or 2 from every place we travel to Grin definitely put a photo up when it's up!

I’ll be sure to let you know!
Am hoping it’ll be Ok but my tree is in 3 parts and am not sure how well it’ll hold together with the shrink wrap, as we had to take the stand off to lay it on the shelf.
Knowing my luck it’ll all go tits up and will take me twice as long to sort it out!

@TheHappiestChristmasTree That looks amazing!

I think I’ve just shot myself in the foot, by trying to save time wrapping my tree. I just bought a practically brand new 7ft Christmas tree world woodland pine on FB.(too much of a bargain to refuse) I underestimated the sheer size and depth of it and it won’t fit in the space I have in the kitchen. So now it’ll have to go in the living room in place of wrapped tree and delegate wrapped one to kitchen (if it’ll fit!)

But my problem is I have coloured lights for kitchen, warm white for living room. So am going to have to remove lights on wrapped tree that are already in place to switch them over, unless I forgo coloured lights this year and just buy more warm white (and I think I’m going to need far more than the 1200 I have) for living room!

Aargh!!
