Book Club Subscription for young teen

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of a book subscription service? I want to get one for dd (13), who is an avid reader. But I'm worried that if I get her a young adult subscription, the themes might be too grown-up. I'd rather avoid a lot of sexual content and so on. Can anyone recommend one where the YA content is age appropriate for young teens, please?

My go to is The Big Green Bookshop. It’s not the fanciest website or subscription package but it is properly tailored by an individual bookseller (Simon!) I’ve bought several as gifts over the years.

You get a questionnaire to fill in, and you can specify on that age-appropriate books only please - it’s not a YA specific subscription but under ‘children’. Here’s the webpage and here’s an article about him being a general nice-guy bookseller. Nice guy!
