I think a book is always good, The Works is usually good for that. Maybe a jigsaw or play doh with some Xmas chocolate perhaps.or a colouring book with some crayons/pencils. Wilko is also usually good for some really affordable crafty stuff.

Busy books are great - they have 10 figures in, a map to play on and a story - ds (4) has a paw patrol and disney princess one. If you search busy books on amazon they have loads of different types

I’d say a Julia Donaldson book and chocolate Santa type thing

I saw some great Christmas activity books at the supermarket with stickers, colouring , mazes sort of thing. That with some pens would have gone down well when my dc weee that age

Orchard Toys for lots of lovely puzzles and games for this age group and many of them are under a tenner.
Hot Wheels multipack of cars
Small Lego/playmobil set
I often buy this art set as a present for birthday parties and young ones seems to love it!

Depends what he enjoys.

Colouring books with pens
Football
Book
Toy car
Selection box

Small Lego set (from the 4+ Range).
Toy cars/vehicles.
Chocolate Santa.

A small Lego set (one of the 4+ sets) will always be popular. There is plenty of choice under £10.

I have got 2 presents under £10 for my 4yo. A paw patrol book with torch & magic sand. I second Orchard toys for games & the works for books

Christmas mug with a hot chocolate kit inside. Ds8 loves a mug and hc!!

At that age my son adored the Playtown books by Roger Priddy.

Alternately, Play doh is always a good option.

Agree that Orchard games are good too
