Looks like we need another thread so here goes. I'll stick the usual top of thread messages in a follow on post.

Please don't post affiliate links here, they need to go in the referral thread

Didn’t we agree last year to keep the chat as that’s what makes this board so lovely but to put new bargains in bold so people can scroll on past if they aren’t interested? That seemed to work quite well

Yes we did @Martinisarebetterdirty I agree.

Personally I am here for the chat about the bargains, much more than the actual shopping. There are plenty of other forums and Facebook pages that just post the deals and nothing else. I love the general camaraderie and chatter of these threads and it’s easy to scroll past the stuff that doesn’t interest you.

There are some good LEGO Friends deals on amazon at the moment. The art school is reduced from £60 to £48 and theatre is down from £90 to £60. There are other sets reduced too but these are the ones I was looking for. I also topped up my account by £60 and got an extra £5 so all in saved £35 on the theatre.

I am so behind on shopping this year I am actually scaring myself! I also have December birthdays for ALL my family members 😬 I am just dithering for some reason so I am making a commited attempt to get some off the list this weekend. Thanks for all ideas (I am thinking of a mass purchase of Oodies, but may just bite the bullet on the proper site).

Anyway, can all you magical elves help with something. My son has always loved a remote control car. However, they don't seem to last. He likes to take it on beach, and it needs to have a long battery life (some.die after about 10mins). Any ideas or recommendations please? He's 12 in Dec. Has more Lego than the Lego store and the only thing he's asked for......

My three oodies came today.

Otter, avocado and panda.

Otter came with full oodie packaging and grey bag.

Panda and avocado are oodies but with label cut off.

I have a genuine pizza oodie from last year and these all feel and look the exact same.

My experience with the otter one too, I got 2 and I haven't taken the ribbon off but they do look genuine to me in comparison to the two oodies my daughters have.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 12/11/2022 09:43

My 5pound stuff order came this morning. However, it wasn't the original order that I was expecting, which still hasn't turned up. It was a corgi hoodie which I ordered a couple of days ago and instantly regretted.

I regret it even more now as it came with the fabric stuck into the glue seal on the bag. Looks like the glue won't come off either so it's basically ruined as it's so sticky. It also smells really dirty. Not happy.
(Didn't expect it to be a real oodie so not bothered about that issue).

Puffalicious · 12/11/2022 09:43

Hate to continue the Oodie chat, but some of the fake/ real chat will be folk like me: ie really pissed off at buying 6 from Oodie (bloody eye watering) when there's some at £19. I don't resent others a bargain at all, I'm just really pissed off!

I've got the my fair lady offer on sparks too. Does anyone know how to book the tickets? I can't see any information

You press the + button to add it to your offers. It turns into a green tick. You can then click on the offer and it will take you to a page showing the theatres and dates available. There is then a button under each theatre to book tickets.

Hi my son is 13 what size oodie will he need.
thanks

@Martinisarebetterdirty bargains in bold sounds fab, but can someone repost a tutorial for me 😂

Also would it even be a bargain thread without the debate over what's allowed and what's not?! 😂 swear this never happened as much until a few years ago! I shall continue just merrily reading and mince pie munching whilst I bargain hunt 🎅🏻

To make some thing bold you put stars on either side e.g * star bold star (if I put the actual it makes it go bold!)

I am jealous of all your oodie bargains, very good work all!!! I had to suck up the real site and pay £50 cos DD very specifically wanted a very specific oodie and her being neurodivergent and very observant, I couldn't risk it!

chillimice · 12/11/2022 09:54

Well that failed.. star bold star using a * as the star...

Puffalicious · 12/11/2022 09:54

I get it chillimice, DS3 is also neurodivergent and HAD to have the pizza one last year. £50 is a good deal, and it will.last and last and she'll love it.

mac1974 · 12/11/2022 09:55

@RainbowZebraWarrior amazing thank you. I'm so rubbish

VeruccaSalty · 12/11/2022 09:56

My boys love the Monster Jam Megladon remote control car. Its all terrain and can go on water. Pretty pricey though. I think we used Argos voucher to get it last year.

Also my 10 year old wears an adult oodie. Swamps him but he loves it like that.

Holidayqueen1 · 12/11/2022 09:57

Hi
i thought I’d seen a 22% off Vans code in this thread but I can’t find it, can anybody help please? May be that I’ve missed it ( like the 50% one 😂)
does anybody know what they’re likely to do for Black Friday?
thanks

Sorry if this has already been posted but Clarins has a great deal on today which gives up to 17 free samples if you’re spending over £25 or even more if you’re buying something more expensive. You need to use the code CLARINSNHS (which is being freely passed around on the internet so not sure if it’s a blue light code).

I decided to bite the bullet and get my double serum and instead of the code above I used the code MYROUTINE and got three samples of my choice, an 8-sample self care kit and a multi active anti-ageing kit of my choice with three bigger samples in a nice bag.

however, you can spend only £25, use the first code and get a ton of samples too.

topcashback is about 9% or thereabouts too and the second code is quoted on TCB so shouldn’t affect cashback.

Thank you for sharing. I've bought a candle set and have 17 free samples for dd stocking fillers!

There are no sizes (except a general kids' size). I bought one for my DS10- it's huge on him but super cosy and will last years!

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 12/11/2022 10:00

I ordered the ottercat, mainly because I ordered from oodie in the summer and we were truly unimpressed. They were so bad that I actually thought it was a scam and I would not recommend that brand or say anything nice about them. Due to this we have 2 oodies that don't get worn. I think curiosity made me order from 5poundstuff. Anyway it has arrived and I'm not sure it's genuine. Firstly the smell, oodies from oodie absolutely stink. The smell is so bad they have to be washed 10 times! It fills the whole house. The ottercat has no smell. Secondly oodies from oodie no longer get posted in the bags, this is something I complained about as it's falsely advertised on the oodie website but they have stopped sending the bags. Ottercat is in a bag. The vacuum pack was not as tight or as thick.
The labels are all on but they are different to our oodies. The hem along the bottom is different, the oodies turn the fabric over whereas this is just sewn like any jumper and lastly it is not as long, the oodie comes to my knees but this one is shorter.
From the whole experience I had with oodie I would recommend the 5poundstuff one over the oodie.

Happy days @tootsnwoocake 😃. I’m looking forward to my order arriving already.

My tickets for My Fair Lady on the M&S app are for Cardiff...!

Stelmosfire1 · 12/11/2022 10:09

Hi, I’ve been a long time lurker and really enjoy this thread every year but first time I’ve posted. My corgi oodie was delivered today, just in the black packaging, I had intended to give as a gift but the cut off label looks a bit messy so I may just keep it as it’s lovely and snuggly. I’m still waiting on the otter cat arriving

Otter oodie arrived in oodie bag. I gave it to dd10 and it's big for her but it's ok. She loves it.

I think I was looking at this the other week as I'm after a good rc vehicle that can withstand gravel, mud, driving over sticks etc. The wheels look polystyrene though, do they damage easily??

Fancyateapottea · 12/11/2022 10:11

My 5pound stuff ‘oodies’ have arrived! My otter one came in the bag with labels on and is great quality. It’s really thick, soft with plenty of material. The panda one is very similar but the inside fleece feels slightly more static-y (might be the difference in packaging 🤷‍♀️). In my opinion the unicorn one feels slightly lower quality - it still feels like a lovely blanket hoodie but if I had to guess I’d say that was the fake

Myleakycauldron · 12/11/2022 10:16

Was there a good deal on colouring pens a while back? Just realised I do need these now!
