Baby doll recommendations

Apologies is any of the words I use, or how I'm wording things are offensive - please do correct me if you want to. Always willing to learn.

My youngest says she wants a baby for Christmas. We have loads! The dolls we have are mostly white, some black.

I was explaining to a friend that the black dolls we have are just different colour white dolls. There's no attempt at features, just skin colour.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good quality, realistic looking non white baby dolls? Black or Asian - although a quick look online shows a real lack of Asian dolls.

Suitable for 2yr old.

Thank you!

They are quite expensive but have you heard of 'reborn dolls' they come in wide varities and are designed to be lifelike.

Reforms aren't toys though, and really not suitable for a 2 year old. (Not CE marked)

I've just done a Google and there are some dolls which claim to be lifelike : Amazon stock miniland and bibidoll dolls.
There's a company called justlikemetoys that has some black and some Chinese dolls.
Otherwise lots of the toy shops have black dolls but I didn't open them all to see if they were lifelike.
I couldn't find any southern Asian in my brief search.

Earlyyearsresources.co.uk has different dolls which have different features as well as skin tones but they are toddlers rather than babies.

These clearly say the have passed CE testing and are suitible from 36 months, slightly older than OP child but a doll is a doll my 1 year old plays with my 4 year olds stuff constantly and Im sure most people with 2 children have their toddler exposed to 3+ toys constantly because its impossible not too.

They have 3 doll in the 'ethnic' section.

Minilands dolls have the biggest selection I've come across. Also Mary Shortle shop (online or in York) has a large selection of 'play dollies'- marina pau, Antonio Juan and llorens all do dolls with different features and skin tones although not as diverse as Minilands. All would be suitable for 2 year old (although some might be a bit big!).

There are some nice Corolle dolls.
They are French and very good quality.

www.mydollbestfriend.co.uk/dolls/shop-by-filter/ethnicity/black-african-dolls?product_list_dir=asc&product_list_order=price this website allows you to search dolls by ethnicity too (I have never ordered from them but I'm tempted for DD2 Xmas present!)

Thank you everyone!

I think the miniland ones look good.

I can't stretch to the cost of the reborn ones, and I think it would freak me out when they inevitably get dropped on their head!
