Stuck with what to get 11 yo DD for Xmas. She hasn't asked for anything and there isn't anything obvious that she "needs". However she does like styling her hair and doesn't have any gadgets like that. What can I get her that's simple to use and good for putting waves or curls into thick, long, tangly hair? A heated hairbrush? When I was 11 it was crimping irons all the way, then later the super straight GHD look but I'm clueless about what's good these days. Thanks!

Take a look in B&M - they have some Elle ones which are £17.99.

Mark Hill pick n mix might be a good choice. You buy the handle and then there are various different attachments available to use with it, different sized wands, tongs, brushes etc. Often have a 3 for 2 offer in boots too.

Mark Hill as above, or the Revolution range? Have used Revolution but looks like they have good dupes of Dyson etc.
