My son is 17 in a couple of weeks I know he'd love a new Xbox. I have no idea about gaming etc. is it a good buy? - is there a replacement for it around the corner making it a not exciting gift as there's another on the way?
Also I know there aren't any discounts to be had but has anyone found a good cashback deal or an extra gift with purchase that's worth having? Many thanks

That is a good buy. It’s the Xbox equivalent of the PS5.
There isn’t an upgraded version coming out for it in the near future.

Yes the Series X. He's had his current Xbox for years. He's done really well this year and got himself into a good college. He never asks for anything - I've done some extra work over last couple of months so it'll be nice to treat him.

If he has the older Xbox one versions he will definitely appreciate the upgrade. It is noticeably much faster and an improvement on graphics. It only came out a couple of years ago and there has been limited stock that whole time so there definitely isn't NY ping to be a new model for a few years.

He’ll love it. If it was me I’d buy the console for £450 now.
Then there will be loads of games a lot cheaper on Black Friday.

We got quite a good package for an XboxX for our sons birthday this year in Game so may be worth a look there .
