Independent retailers

I want to avoid amazon and other big corporations. Can anyone suggest any independent retailers particularly for the following type of things (mainly for my DC aged 9-17):

Stationary (journals/Pens etc)
Stuff for bedrooms
Jewelry - earrings/necklace
Skin care/smellies

SilverRainSilver on etsy have lots of nice silver earrings for about £10ish which are good quality - I've had a couple of pairs and been pleased with them
And got some nice soap recently from Little Shop of Lathers, along with some Harry Potter inspired stuff for DD - butter beer lip balm and that type of thing

Surely independent shops are town/area specific - cos they are independent 🤔
Although to be honest a lot of independent retailers all source their stock from the same big wholesalers.
But...if you are anywhere near Kettering in Northamptonshire there is a most excellent shop called Bean Hive in the town centre.

Lots of small businesses operate online.

Yes that's true @Doubledenimrocks many do sell online.
Although as I said a lot of 'independent' sellers sell the same mass produced stock as each other so I wasn't sure if you meant independent as in a business owned and run by a local person 🙂

Oh I just checked - the Bean Hive shop I mentioned above also sells online.
I also recommend Bookseller Crow bookshop in South London for books.

Bookseller.org gives you a huge choice of books via independent sellers. You can choose your local shop, but benefit from other shops stock.
