I have finally bought my first Christmas present... for the cat

It's a fish that you charge with a USB and it flops around. She will probably ignore it.

Only literally everything else to do now!

We got one of those for the cat this week from middle of Lidl. She seems to like it but it freaks her out too. The noise of the flapping on our wood floor is driving me daft.

I was in France on holiday a few weeks ago and my only purchases were Xmas dog blankets for DS and GD.

That was one of my cats gifts a couple of years ago.

She was scared to death of the thing!

My cat loves his Lidl fish!

He does sometimes get upset that he can't kill it & ends up sitting on it meowing- I have to switch it off for a couple of days!

OP, I bought those as presents for relatives’ cats a couple of years back. At least one of DBro and SiL’s cats adored it!

I got my cats the flippy fish last Christmas. They were completely disinterested. £20 down the drain. And it's bloody noisy.

Their favourite toy is any old shoe lace 🤦🏼‍♀️

UPDATE: She was not impressed by the fish and refuses to engage with it. I tried encouraging her to play with it but she looked reproachful and ran away.

Mine got a Purr-peller and it seems to be a hit!

Mine didn’t like it either, wouldn’t even go near it.
I decided to take it to my friends house (he has 3 cats) - the youngest cat got very excited, grabbed the fish and bolted straight outside and over the neighbours fence with it. The fish was never seen again 😂
