OP posts:
AdmiralButterfly · 29/10/2022 17:23

FIFA 23 for Xbox.

Basketball jersey with favourite player name (actually got on eBay as so expensive)

oodie (he covets his sister’s one)

RC fighting tarantulas

Funko pop

some Lego sets for gratification on the day

CoffeeChocolateWine · 29/10/2022 17:24

I've bought 10yo DD a few bits so far...
Lego dots picture frame set
Posca pens with a basket of blanks
Personalised baking apron

At the moment she thinks she'd like a sewing machine as her main present. But I'm going to wait until nearer the time just in case she changes her mind which isn't unheard of!

A few other ideas are...
Animal adoption
Fahlo bracelet (saw this on another thread and they look great)
Lush snow fairy set
Perfume
3D pen
Squishmallow
Books
Bubble tea set

She won't get all of these things but I enjoy playing with ideas and she has a big extended family!

McConkeysPlate · 29/10/2022 17:27

Skateboard and new sleeping bag/dryrobe

Serena1977 · 29/10/2022 17:40

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 29/10/2022 17:48

If I can stretch to it.....he'd like a more grown up tablet with some animation and film editing apps.

History of the world book from "Useful Maps" with pull out world history timeline.

Big fluffy dressing gown or blanket (he has sensory needs)

That's all my thoughts so far.....

Emanresu9 · 29/10/2022 17:56

A kindle
stuff for scouts
books
theatre tickets

TheChosenTwo · 29/10/2022 17:58

My ten year old is soon to turn 11.
so for Christmas and birthday (separate presents for separate occasions but just to give a range of ideas, this is his list!
laptop (will need one for secondary school next year anyway plus he uses mine a lot for homework now so will be good for him to just use his own!)
electric guitar and amp
new games console, controllers, games
wireless headphones
football kit
trainers
gym kit stuff (he comes with me quite often which is really nice)
Shower speaker
Waffle maker
another oodie
Mini basketball hoop for his room (the only thing that’s a definite no 😂)
stationery
board games

he will most likely get most of the stuff on this list split between birthday and Christmas, we both have big families so won’t be buying it all ourselves!

Tinkers2021 · 29/10/2022 19:47

xbox series X. He’s had the Xbox One for a while and its on its last legs. He knows that he won’t be getting anything else if he does get this new console though. Other than a few sticking fillers from ‘Santa’, not that he actually believes anymore

PuttingDownRoots · 29/10/2022 20:05

My nearly 10yo is getting (including from grandparents etc)

  • half a paddleboard (joint with 11yo sister)
  • wetsuit
  • board games
  • camping backpack
  • bag for her Rugby boots
  • illustrated Harry potter books
  • craft kits
  • gryffindor blanket/hoody
  • books and voucher
  • bubble lamp
  • lego
  • luna love good toiletries (from Boots)
  • voucher for ice-skating/indoor water park (local thing)
  • scout camp blanket

I've seen an electronics/robot kit she might like

Tinkers2021 · 29/10/2022 20:09

*Stocking

HorribleHerstory · 29/10/2022 20:14

Train Set
Build a Bear
watercolour paints

ellieboolou · 29/10/2022 20:25

Karaoke machine, Robux voucher, sleepwear / loungewear, some make up bits like lip gloss, chocolate and books, pens for stocking.

Really scaling back this year as we have so many toys etc that rarely get played with. Last few years it's been masses of gifts that just end up not being used.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 29/10/2022 20:37

10yo DD

Sewing machine with accessories
Beginners sewing machine books
Women through history book
Long wheat bag
Maria cart
Beanie boo
Overwatch plush
Create your own comic book
Top model colouring book and pens
Nike leggings
Small bits of make up, nothing fancy. She likes watching YouTube and seeing if she can recreate arty styles.
Hot chocolate station

I did have a new coat but had to give it her early because she needed it.

kenadams86 · 29/10/2022 20:42

Surf board
Chunky trainers

Stuck for my 13 year old boy 😬

Whiterose23 · 29/10/2022 20:56

We’ve bought:
A two person kayak (shared with sister)
A Polaroid camera - I’ve bought the Kodak bundle
happy napper sleeping bag
lego - brickheadz rather than a set
books
I’m determined not to buy loads of toys that don’t get played with

Hesma · 29/10/2022 22:10

My daughter has asked for a litter picker!😂 She would also like some wireless headphones, aqua gelz, converse, teddy bear, new pjs

itwasntmetho · 29/10/2022 22:15

So far a shark onesie, he wants Guinness book of records.
He asked for a VR headset, no way that’s happening I already said it’s too expensive.

mnahmnah · 29/10/2022 22:20

OxfordDog · 29/10/2022 22:37

A few of you have mentioned Oodies. If opting for the genuine Oodie brand, would you go for the adult size or child size for a 10/11 year old?

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 29/10/2022 22:38

so Far for dd10 I’ve brought

unicorn fairy garden
iphone
New Scooter
new smiggle bag
some paints
lego ( still to buy)
tom grennan concert tickets
kinder bueno selection pack

for her stocking
2x Christmas ty beanies
2 books from her fave series
Mini brands
chopsticks
Lindor chocs
j20 lip gloss

TheChosenTwo · 29/10/2022 22:41

I went for child size for ds last year, dd has the adult one and it’s absolutely enormous even on me, it wouldn’t stay on 10 year old ds’s shoulders! They truly are oversize, his kids one fits him perfectly even now as a tall nearly 11 year old.

HeyMicky · 29/10/2022 22:41

Stop motion animation software

Inflatable gymnastics mat

V cushion for reading in bed

Fancy pens for illustration

canyouextrapol · 29/10/2022 22:48
