Gel nail kit with lamp - recommendations?

Looking at one of these for my DD for Christmas. Has anyone bought one before that they can recommend?

done my nails every couple of weeks since January! Highly recommend Mylee and all the products especially the ‘magic’ gel remover - so much better than siting soaking gels off.

I’d agree with Mylee. The kits are usually reduced as part of Amazon Prime day so I’d buy then for the best bargain. I’ve had the same lamp for 4 years and it’s worked fine (I’ve probably jinxed that now!!) and was a good deal

What do I need to buy if starting from scratch?
Obviously a lamp....what else?

I'm so chuffed with the results too - I'm not an amazingly dexterous person but my fingernails look decent and it's so much cheaper than actual manicures in a salon. I've got my eye on some sparkly cheery Christmas colours now.

Another vote for Mylee - was the best and most used present I ever bought my DD. I got a starter kit from Amazon, where you can also find a bewildering selection of gel polishes. For the polish, the most hard wearing that I have encountered is Mihtze.

Any recommendations for a topcoat ? I have one that both doesn't wipe off but also doesn't dry nicely without wiping. Madness !

Had mylee but now have the candy coat lamp and gels, i find them a lot better and last longer, they also do a monthly subscription box which is pretty good

@Polkadotpjs I use the Mylee top coat which comes off when I wipe with the prep solution but they also do a no wipe top coat.

Mylee is fab, my nail tech uses it. The varnish lasts much longer that TGB my previous tech used.

just ensure she watches tutorials as my friend ruined her nails doing it at home

Groupon have a Mylee kit for under £40 just now. Aldi get the sensationail kits cheap online too but personally I prefer the Mylee one
