Looking for ideas for items to fill an advent calendar for my student DS. He's a little homesick and taking time to settle into academic life so I want to cheer him up with some treats.
So far I've got some herbal tea bags!

Crisps. If he is from NI they will have to be Tayto cheese and onion.

How big is the calendar?! And how are you going to get it to them?
I’m getting dd a Reece’s one to send to her but I’m making a beauty one for her to open when she comes home (I did this last year for both dd’s, reused my old Liberty and space nk ones, they absolutely loved it so doing again this year), she’ll have lots of days to catch up on 😂
anyway, some great ideas here already, love the simple one of a fiver! Cold hard cash is always beneficial.

Little packets of biscuits, nuts, popcorn, dried fruit etc..., small pots of jam/condiments if he likes them, chewable toothbrush/breath mints sort of bits in case he has a date, condom if you have the sort of relationship where you think it's appropriate, charging cable, sticky notes block, glasses cleaning cloth/sachets (if he wears glasses), Menkind have random little things he might like (Beer Flavour popping candy for a couple of pounds or they do a self stirring 'lazy man' mug for under £10 - you'd need to put some batteries in with that), fidget toys/stress ball, blu tak?

There are loads of great ideas on here already.
