Christmas bauble colours

First Christmas in my new home, and starting again with my tree and decorations.

I've picked out these baubles so far, but feel like I need another colour in amongst it.

What do you suggest? I was thinking either teal, emerald green, or a blush colour? You can see the colour of my living room in the photo.

Not the most fascinating of the Christmas threads, I know! But I love my new home, so I'm trying to get excited about this first Christmas in it.

I don't think you need to add anything, by the time you have lights and the colour of the tree itself I think they will all compliment each other

grinchit · 23/10/2022 21:16

Thanks @Bubbles1st

Maybe you're right! I was thinking maybe even just some smaller silver ones? I guess it will be easier to tell once I put the tree up, but I'm worried that all the nice decorations will have sold out by then.

It’s a lovely selection already. Silver ‘filler’ baubles always come in handy though.

sadiewt · 23/10/2022 21:30

A selection of jewel colours would look good (not just one.)

JustOrderADoor · 23/10/2022 21:37

@grinchit they're beautiful baubles. I think some plain silver smaller baubles would compliment them nicely.

I have red & silver baubles then a shit ton of Christmas Decorations accumulated over the years! Love them all and they all bring back memories, I'd describe the look as 'The day Christmas Threw Up' 😂🤣

But I love it💁🏻‍♀️ I would like to decorate a second tree with a tasteful arrangement matching baubles and teinkling white lights.

@grinchit Do you know what your wall colour is?

hattie43 · 23/10/2022 21:47

I'd add pops of very bright emerald green , the colours you've chosen are lovely but they kind of blend together a bit too well imo need something else in the mix that
' pops'

Lovely tree @Pumpkinpatchlookinggood ❤️

Okay, I think I will order some little vintage style silver hearts that I saw, and go from there.

Thanks @JustOrderADoor the paint colour is B&Q Good Home in Antibes

Thanks @hattie43

I've not fully committed to leaving as is yet, so I may still do that.

I love colour, so I'm wary of going OTT and it looking like it belongs in a playroom.

I did like these? Although I don't think they are glass, and all of mine are.

I agree Jewel colours will look good Teal Green, peacock blue, purple and cerise/magenta pink plus silver will all look good with the selection you have

ItsaMetalBand · 24/10/2022 14:12

If you like an eclectic tree, then I suggest that you buy a posh bauble or two every year for your tree and write the year in CD marker somewhere hidden. We started that about a decade ago and my tree is filling up with lovely memories.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 24/10/2022 14:18

You need something bright as they're all rather subdued colours and could get lost on the dark green of the tree.

Bright silver or a bright green would look nice.

EndlessMagpies · 24/10/2022 14:23

I agree with the small silver baubles, but I think you should also have just a few nicely-patterned red ones in there to break it up a bit.

MrsMcGintysLodger · 24/10/2022 22:09

I’d go with a peacock colour scheme with those baubles. They’re very pretty.

grinchit · 24/10/2022 22:25

Which of these two then?
