Agree sticker book for the 5 year old if just looking for token gifts. The usbourne doll dress up ones are popular with the girls I know that age

There are some lovely polly pocket sets around the £12 mark or a Barbie doll, though my daughter preferred the Barbie Chelsea doll at that age. B&m have a Chelsea doll with horse in their 2 for £20 which looks lovely. Think it was £12.50 on its own

Fuzzikins or Washimals are quite popular with 5 year olds too and not too expensive

My daughters are 5 and 8 and are into things like lol dolls and Barbie. They love crafts like playdoh, simple sewing kits, colouring, painting, stickers, glitter.
