Dd likes to collect her jewellery rather than wear it Hmm so I'm looking for a lovely jewellery box for her. Can anyone recommend any please? Japanese themed would be a bonus. Thank you.

Have a look at stackers - my nieces love them

3rd vote for stackers

Sorry but I also came here to say Stackers! They often have sales or discounts on their website and were cheaper than buying from John Lewis last time I bought some

ShakeYourFeathers · 19/10/2022 22:48

Another vote for stackers
I love mine, and I like how you can add bits to it as her collection grows. Also have a stand for drop earrings and things.

Aaaaaaaand anothe vote for Stackers! My dd and niece both got them in their teens and they’re much loved still

I've never heard of stackers but I'm off to Google! Thank you!

Depending on what you want to spend, a neat thing I have seen that a teen might also like is these free-standing full length mirrors that open to a lot of jewellery storage inside.

fantasmasgoria1 · 20/10/2022 10:57

I second the jewellery stand with mirror. I have one and it is brilliant!

Aria2015 · 20/10/2022 10:57

Yup, stackers here too

AlternativelyWired · 20/10/2022 11:59

I'm sure she'd love a full length mirror but her room is tiny. The stackers look lovely. I can't decide on the colour though. I might go to John
Lewis and have a look at them in person to help decide.

@AlternativelyWired There's Japanse puzzle boxes - beautiful wooden boxed that open in complicated ways with different compartments. Depending on what the jewellery she has is - be OK for rings and studs, maybe less so necklaces.

I bought some Stacker-type storage from Amazon, I chose three layers with the top one being tiny compartments for earrings and a flat clear lid .

I used to have a mirrored double sided wooden cabinet which I recycled when I got the stackable trays .

Worth buying some of the anti tarnish strips if she has silver .

Muji do some lovely acrylic boxes.

My daughter collects bracelets and she had an Oliver Bonas jewellery box for her birthday this year and it is rather lovely .
