Good thread. I’m doing reusable fabric crackers this year and also interested in tiny gifts.

OK I know this defeats the purpose of packaging and consumerism of these DIY advent calendars but this year and last year I have cheated a little as the first year I did them it was horrendously expensive.

So anyway. First year I bought little Xmas hairclips nail polish etc etc along with the odd choccy. When I could remember I put the visit santa ticket in or whatever we where doing that day.

So last year I waited it out and got the smuggle advent calendar for £15. Lots of stationary bits from smuggle my daughter loves cheaper than buying them separately as per previous year. I also had 24 items. I took them all out the advent calendar and recycled the pack.

This year I have got a bomb cosmetics one from amazon when it was on offer for around £12. Again 24 little bath bombs or soap perfect size for the DIY calendars. Just going to throw/recycle the packaging again.
