I know kindle isn’t for everyone, but Christmas Chronicles by Nigel Slater is on Kindle Unlimited! So if you’ve already got membership - or can get a free trial - then you can read it for free!

I don't like Kindle personally unless I'm somewhere that I'm going to do a lot of leisure reading , but IMO nothing beats A Book .

This'll be great for the Christmas Chronicles Read-a-long thread (should be end Oct/early Nov) and people looking for a copy .
(I got one from eBay last year , lovely book )

Thanks for this I've got 2 months left of a kindle trial and I was tempted to buy the book but won't need to now, unless I love it and really need a copy

I’ve done that before - once I’ve looked at the book online I’ve decided to buy it. Try before you buy!

I bought the kindle version when it was 99p. Totally agree it's not remotely the same as the real thing. Kindle books are for random novels you'll never read again, not real books Grin

Do you think most foodies would already have the Christmas chronicles? It's becoming a bit of a cult status read now but I'm thinking of getting it for my dog walkers Xmas gift . He loves baking and he loves Xmas .

I bought it last year for two foodie friends who had never heard of it and absolutely loved it!
