Presents for a 12 year old

Apologies if this has been asked before (I have had a quick look). I’m new to the Xmas board so not sure what’s on here yet. I want to get organised early this year as I’m always madly rushing around on Christmas Eve. So… I was just wondering if the Mumsnet crowd could give me some ideas… big presents AND small presents for a 12 year old girl. So far, I am considering some hair straighteners OR a Velvetiser for her main present and some make up for a smaller one but open to any other ideas you wise ones have . Thank you in advance

It’s a tricky age isn’t it?
My dd who turns 12 after Christmas has requested ‘anything Nike’ so I’ve got her some things out the next sale half price. Feel bad as it’s clothes so I’m trying to get some fun things too…
she’s mentioned a tiny microphone that you put in things to hear/record the strange sounds…. Seems a bit 🙄 to me BUT I’ve found a set of 4 for less than a tenner so thought why not?!
Other than that she’s getting Posca pens with a few bits to decorate (like everyone else 😁) some tween skin care (think simple cleanser/reusable face cloths etc) slime and a squishmallow.
Im hoping the balance is ok….

DD turned 12 last year and had hair straighteners for her birthday so those went down very well and I think are a popular gift with that age.

Christmas gifts were: a guitar (she was taking lessons), a mini printer, Morphe eyeshadow palette & some brushes, nomination earrings, a couple of the Aldi squishmallows, good quality colouring and sketching pencils, books, books and more books. Also an assortment of onesie/pjs/cosy loungewear from various people as she loves that kind of thing.

I’ve got my 12 year old:

Toiletries for her stocking (face masks, bath bombs etc)
Electric toothbrush
Oodie (from next not a real one)
Art supplies

My husband has just got her a surf board too because he found one on offer

DD is 12, ideas for this year include

Ice skates and a block of ice skating lessons

Ive just added wireless charger ro the list as well, thank you

Shes a tricky age where she wants to be grown up but also wants toys and has asked for accessories for her our generation dolls (that she never plays with)

Mine has just said she wants rollerskates! I'm looking at rio roller scripts, they look amazing, nothing like the skates back in my day. Bonus she is my size too so I cn borrow them
