Has anyone got any suggestions for a young adult daughter or could you share what you're getting?
Just seeing if anyone has any out of the box ideas!
I have asked & she's asked for 2 things that I've got so far.
She's interested in Sanrio, tattoos, piercings.
Even stocking ideas would be gratefully received.
I'll be getting her the usual chocolate, and I've also got her perfume, a blanket, socks, will get pjs.

Self-defence classes

Mrsfussypants1 · 07/10/2022 17:10

Our adult dd (almost 26) is getting:
Oodie
Suede slipper boots
Soap and glory gift set (picked up in January sales)
Lego orchid (hduk bargain)
Etsy print of her cat
Chocolate

Joint gift for her & sil
*Gift card for cinema and restaurant
Gift card for supermarket

For her November birthday:
Kindle paperwhite & case
Kindle gift card
h&m gift card.

She's a bit older than your dd though and has her own home but thought I'd still share, though it's not the most exciting list.

EndlessMagpies · 07/10/2022 17:12

We got our adult dd a Kindle and a Velvetiser last year. Both much appreciated and very well-used.

LaTangerina · 07/10/2022 17:23

Thank you all some lovely ideas!
I don't think she'd be into self defence that is actually a totally unique idea though!
I forgot about soap & glory she actually loves their sets & the big one is usually half price in the run up to Xmas isn't it.

Thank you for sharing, she doesn't live at home either but is in a flat share with friends. I love the cinema voucher idea & restaurant gift card.

Thanks she's no interest in reading anymore sadly 😞 Is the velvetiser expensive to buy refills for?

You can use any chocolate powder in a Velvetiser. Kids like Cadburys hot chocolate powder.

One of the best presents my parents ever got me as a young adult who had moved out was a tool set. My dad put it together with a small selection of proper tools and a little tool bag (so not a gimmicky/flimsy set). Still use it now and think fondly about the gift.

Sonyo · 07/10/2022 17:44

For stocking ideas:
Reusable wipes/straws
Seeds
Toothbrush, or a new packet of toothbrush heads if she uses electric
Bar of soap - some lovely handmade ones on Etsy
Gift card (book/cafe/game etc)
Sanrio keychain
Money
Enamel pins/badges
Set of positive affirmation cards
Stress ball
Charger/earphones

Oh we got our adult DD a tool kit when she was a student. It was one designed for women, and no not because of being girlie pink or anything but apparently the size and grip had been designed with a woman's hand size in mind.

About 3 years ago, pre-pandemic, we got her the carnivore experience at a nearby safari park. She got to go out with a keeper first thing before the park opened so you get close up with the animals and on certain days get to feed them. On her day they weren't feeding the lions but she got to throw lumps of raw meat to the wolves!

My DD is dead easy to buy for, books, chocolate and bath bombs

Whichwhatnow · 07/10/2022 18:35

What's your budget? Tattoo/piercing studios often offer vouchers (I can recommend an amazing one if she's near Bristol 😉)

mam0918 · 07/10/2022 18:41

Tattoo vouchers or tickets to a tattoo convention?
