Fill your own crackers

Hi everyone,

For the last few years I have filled my own crackers to make sure that we all get something we want / like and will re-use.

Last year I filled with matching novelty socks and the year before some lovely finger puppets that the DC still play with.

I am completely stumped this year though, so does anyone else do this and do you have any ideas for what I can do this year? My DC are 5 and 8 and DH and I don’t mind having a cracker filler that the kids can have after cracking!

Scratch card.

Hot wheels cars? A playmobil person each? DS would love that.

I've done this used party bag filler type toys one year, another little bits eg key rings / magnets from people's prefered charities this year I'm thinking a chocolate and one of those seed packets that you can get for wedding favours

I did ink stamps last year... Im planning on finger puppets this year but I see you already did that before.

Thanks for the suggestions all!

I don’t think scratch cards for little children would be the best option...but for DH and I it could be a bit of fun!

I have had a look around today and I might go for Xmas pants for the little ones! They love those key rings from Smiggle, so thanks for the suggestion Tryingtobe.

I have a ton of LEGO here, so I know the mini figs will just get broken up and mixed up with the rest of them! Good idea though!

Why can they have scratch cards?

Jobsagoodun1 · 26/09/2022 22:23

Because it’s gambling or trying to explain why one child has won more money than the other...many reasons!

I’ve done Lego key rings in past years for DS and DNS, but what both of mine love are lindors so I’m doing those this year.
