What are you getting your five year old boy?

Looking for inspiration! He has lots of outdoorsy stuff already such as a bike and scooter. He’s not really into Lego despite our efforts. The vtech camera was a huge hit with him last Christmas.

We have already put away a Optimus prime transformer for our DS.
Some Marvel books as well so far.
He has what feels like all the Batman toys, so I've said no more Batman.

But we are a little stumped as he has so many toys already

Some of his friends are getting a switch, but I'm holding off on consoles for as long as possible. A long time hopefully.

I'm watching for some ideas

I really don't know. He keeps asking for Paw Patrol stuff, but I'm reluctant because I think he'll grow out of it very soon. He also wants a drone with a camera, which he is definitely not getting. I was thinking of looking for some kind of remote control flying vehicle that is a bit more age appropriate. Definitely some Minecraft or Harry Potter Lego, or maybe Ninjago. Maybe some craft kits - he likes the ones where you paint little plaster models, and scratch art.

DS is 7 and Dd is 5. This isn’t what I’m getting them (I’m not that organised) but hopefully will give you some ideas.

We have DS7 and DS5. They are both hugely into transformers so these always form the bulk of presents from us and relatives but we are trying to expand this year. DS5 has a December birthday too which is a trial…

Some of my current ideas for him are

• two wheeled scooter (upgrade from 3 wheeled one)
• Grow your own crystals - Dino version
• A massive glow in the dark dinosaur jigsaw puzzle
• more hot wheels …
• Power ranger toys - like the zord (bit like a transformer)
• Bakugan
• minecraft lego
• lightsaber (Star Wars or power rangers one)

My five year old just had his birthday which he received a Hot Wheels Rainbow Road, it has been played with lots, his eight year old brother loves it too!

We've just upgraded his duvet & pillow from Toddler to Single, so some new bedding.
