Requests are for a 32 inch Repunzel doll, a colour reveal Barbie and a real mobile phone. She's definitely not getting the latter!

SBAM · 18/09/2022 11:29

I need inspiration too - I’m sure she has everything a child needs but I know the grandparents and aunties are going to ask me what they can get her so I need a few more ideas.
I’m going to suggest a new dressing gown, maybe a chapter book or two - I’ve heard good things about ‘princess in black’ , some story cubes and probably Lego. Because of her little brother we’ve had duplo until now, but he’s 3 soon so I reckon we’re safe to start having the Lego with tiny bits (until I stand on some 😖)
Ive been debating a yoto player as her present from us, but DH isn’t sure.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 18/09/2022 11:52

Pushchair and new clothes for her dolls
Playmobil hospital
Insect Lore butterfly garden
Melissa and Doug wooden beads

CakeCrumbs44 · 18/09/2022 11:56

I expect we will get her a new scooter, as her toddler one is getting a bit small. Maybe a science kit or fossil excavating kit, probably some yoto cards.

We will probably go to a big toy shop nearer the time so she can get ideas for her Christmas wishlist from others.

For stockings it will be bits and bobs - dressing up accessories, little Lego sets, colouring pens, slippers that sort of thing

Following !

Scout2016 · 18/09/2022 12:16

When mine was that age big hits for Christmas/ birthday were roller skates, sylvanian families, barbie, including mermaid one, those dress up doll usborne sticker books, colour change felt tips, fun socks and clothes with sequins or some blingy feature. Design a friend dolls and outfits.
Other stuff she's liked for ages - musical jewellery box, Schelich figures, soft toys, polly pocket handbag set thing, jewellery making kits.
Books - my naughty little sister, Dotty detective (the works have sets) Claude the dog, the trouble with Daisy.

IAmTheUsername · 18/09/2022 13:16

Books that she will be able to read independently, a recorder & book, bath bombs, board game and some lego. Plus 1 thing she requests.
Plus a stocking, Chocolate coins, socks, pens that sort of thing and probably the 'my first opinel' knife as her 'main' stocking gift. She's desperate for her own knife to whittle sticks for toasting marshmallows.
She'll get a couple of bits from grandparents too. If yours doesn't already have roller skates, a skateboard or scooter they are lots of fun too!

CoffeeChocolateWine · 20/09/2022 16:02

I've already bought a Magic Mixie as I got a good deal on it. I will also get her a unicorn glitter tattoo set.

Not completely set on other things but I'm considering an eatsleepdoodle pillowcase, colouring book and pens, flying fairy doll, bath bomb set as she loves her big sister's, books, slightly more challenging puzzle, Lego, clothes or dressing up bits.

She's pretty easy to please so not too stuck for ideas. Her older siblings however are a different story!

mamatoTails · 20/09/2022 17:46

My girls are five and I really don't know what to get them!

They have scooters, which they had for their birthday.

Probably just going to get small things.

New, harder puzzles.
Drawing bits.

One had asked for Connect 4, so will possibly get another board game type thing - or maybe pop up pirate.

Bath bombs they love.

Also need new headphones so will get
a pair each.

No idea what else!

SBAM · 20/09/2022 19:18

@mamatoTails my 5 year old got connect4 for her birthday, and then when spending her birthday money picked ‘hungry unicorns’ (alternate version of hungry hippos) which she loves playing.

I'd forgotten about hungry hippos - unicorn version sounds right up their street! Thanks!

Probably a new scooter. She turned 5 recently and loved the lego friends set someone gave her. Considering a yoto player. Then just bits and pieces for stocking and a new book. Have an older dd too so not short of toys.

EcoCustard · 21/09/2022 06:01

Dd5 is difficult to buy for previously and has two older siblings close in age so not short of stuff. This year she has asked for a gymnastics beam and loves Lego & jigsaws.
Will get her a beam and other ideas are Lego set, Lego dots, roller skates, books, Playmobil vet clinic, Squishmallow (she adores the one for her birthday), beads and bits for bracelet making, craft kit, something insect related as she loves bugs and a jigsaw.

ChristmasCwtch · 21/09/2022 08:13

I’ve got boys around this age, but I’d I had girls I’d buy the Sylvanian mansion, a magic mixie cauldron and the surprise mama guinea pig!! And definitely glitter tattoos.

I’ve bought them kitchens, prams, dolls houses in the past and they literally aren’t interested. They love building, construction, Hot Wheels, Minecraft and Lego 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

Actually I’ve just had a thought that I’ll buy Crayola glitter dots. I’ll find some sparkle somewhere 😂

Fivemoreminutes1 · 21/09/2022 09:45

I’ve almost finished the stocking.
I’ve got:
Hair clips
Hair bands
Magic milk straws
Stickers
Crazy foam soap
Cookie cutter
Felt tips
Little Miss book
Egg cup

MrsZinnia · 21/09/2022 13:09

I’m getting mine a good rocking horse, a knight costume with toy lance and the Barbie camper-van. Things for her stocking include gemstone excavation kit/knitting Nancy/headphones/secret diary/blo pens.

AliceMcK · 21/09/2022 13:14

Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse playset. I bought it in the prime day sale so got it hugely discounted. She has a smaller playset and got the Skipper babysitting park playset for her birthday as well as a couple of Barbie reveal dolls.

also got

Barbie Lego
Encanto Lego
colouring books and pens
Elsa nighty

Need to get - Top model diary and goo goo galaxy, although I’ve no idea where I’m going to get that.

Other things she likes are Polly Pocket and is starting to like Sylvanian families.

TheOGSloth · 21/09/2022 13:14
