...Will it survive until December? Or will buying while they are £4, with £1 back into my Asda rewards pot, be a false economy?

I've got ours and hidden them from Dh I don't like them so they are safe

YorkieTheRabbit · 16/09/2022 18:23

Mmm 🤔 they wouldn’t last here, I’ve no willpower when it comes to chocolate 😂

PorkPieAndAPickledOnion · 16/09/2022 18:24

I’ve bought the Quality Street but I have no expectation of them making to the time when I get the holly dishes out to put them in when I put the decorations up!

PuttingDownRoots · 16/09/2022 18:29

They are on top of the kitchen cupboards. I'm the only one that knows.

I can do this...

well I've opened the celebrations tub and am scoffing them already.
I cannot think if one good or valid reason to wait.

Is it true that every tub of Heroes contains a full-size Twirl this year...?

IamChipmunk · 16/09/2022 19:01

@JudgementalCentipede my mum brought the dc's a tub of heroes last weekend and it had 2 full size twirls in it!! We were very confused and presumed it was a mistake with the factory!
Interestingly the twirl packaging was marked as 'multipack'...

Why not the little ones?!

Well I guess I know what I'll be buying this week to find out / scoff

Devo1818 · 16/09/2022 20:27

I got 2 for £7 from Tesco. One is under the bed. The other is on top of the fridge half empty.

Mine did!

Creepymanonagoatfarm · 16/09/2022 20:28

I left a tub in the car. Parked in the street so no risk I go get it!

PuttingDownRoots · 16/09/2022 20:29

Full size twirl speculation is not helping my willpower.

I bought a tubs of Roses and Cadburys Heroes on Monday, £4 each, last year I left it too late, my husband has put them high up in a tall cupboard and out of temptation!

FourChimneys · 16/09/2022 20:37

They would last forever here and eventually go in the food bin.

YorkieTheRabbit · 16/09/2022 21:58

Well that does it! I’ve just put one in my online Morrisons shop 😂

Shufflebumnessie · 16/09/2022 22:02

I bought a tub of Roses and a tub of Hero's about 8 days ago. The majority of the Roses have mysteriously disappeared 😳

IamChipmunk · 17/09/2022 07:43

@PuttingDownRoots its not speculation! I can confirm we have had a tub of heroes last weekend with 2 full size twirls in!

CeeJay81 · 17/09/2022 07:50

I've ordered heros and roses with my tesco shop next Saturday. I doubt they'll make it to Christmas but if i make sure there is always some other kind of choice in the house I could make this work.

bcc89 · 17/09/2022 08:10

My tub of Heroes didn't have a twirl in it :(

Snap! I've done this too.

Chasingsquirrels · 17/09/2022 08:13

Presumably a full size twirl wouldn't be an extra, it would be part of the weight make up.
Given that would have less packaging per chocolate it would probably be cheaper than the equivalent amount of mini twirls.
I'd be vaguely annoyed with full size chocolates as I buy a tub to share. If I wanted full size I'd buy a multipack.

StarlingsInTheRoof · 17/09/2022 08:26

Celebrations here. Bought in case of trick or treaters. We plan on being out for dinner on the day itself, so may sadly have to eat them all instead.

Totallyaddictedtoshoes · 17/09/2022 08:54

Are there still mini twirls in there or just the full size?

IamChipmunk · 17/09/2022 11:17

@Totallyaddictedtoshoes there were no mini ones in ours. Just two full size ones.
