This is the one I got from this thread in 2019 Wooden Xmas Tree checked my Amazon history and found it.

RegeJeanPageMeOnMyCellphone · 17/09/2022 12:53

Costco had the Lego City Advent calendar in store for £13.46 (I’m pretty sure the signage said it should be £16 with VAT - still £5 cheaper than everywhere else, but I checked the receipt and was charged less!)

They also had Baileys Tiramisu for £13.99 (again priced up as £16).

@psuedocream3 thanks! Will probs get her some playdough and numberblock things for her stocking
I know these are the “it” things for teens and these ones are cheaper than elsewhere x

A good buy but I have to be honest and say my teens wouldn’t thank you for a lot of the suggestions recently like the storage boxes or the bubble tea vouchers.

I love this thread for bargains and have used it for years - thanks @Reastie! I do however think if someone needs help choosing every Christmas gift, with specific needs they could start their own thread and look here for bargains too. My fist bah humbug of the season!

I've been thinking the same, don't want to be a Scrooge but I'm only here for the bargains!

I agree with you wholeheartedly. This is for bargains which may also be ideas, not ideas on their own.

I have to agree. It's OTT.

There are loads of 'ideas for a 10 yr old / MIL / DSis threads which would be more suitable for, well, ideas.

Having just scrolled back through 100 posts of chat and not a bargain to be had, I think maybe someone could start a "gifts for teens" or whatever thread. That way bargains won't be missed.

My ok beauty box arrived. A fiver delivered and vouchers for 2 free magazines! Very happy with that. I might try again with DH card and email!

My eBay turtledoves arrived today, very quick! Thanks for the heads up on them.

both pairs have very visible holes but they’re nice colours and only for me/the kids anyway. Might attempt to sew the biggest hole.

was wondering after the initial rush on them if the eBay ones really will be defective now, although I see a pp said they got non holey ones, so maybe still pot luck :-)

RegeJeanPageMeOnMyCellphone · 17/09/2022 13:41

@mummymilkfloat DS is 4 and he had a lovely Playmobil advent calendar last year. BargainMax has a Christmas manger calendar in the sale for £18.49. They have others on sale too including a Peppa Pig activity one.

Also the book calendars are great. Gruffalo and friends calendar is £10.99 on Amazon.

Picklesbaby · 17/09/2022 13:41

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but I’ve just ordered a Thomas advent calendar for my little boy a train for each day and it comes with a play mat . £19.99 at boots . May only be a bargain for me cause I had enough advantage point to buy 😁
they also have 15% of premium beauty & fragrances if your buying for anyone with expensive taste .or treating yourself like me

Turtleoo · 17/09/2022 13:52

Thank you for mentioning the Burts Bees crackers and baubles Amazon offers. Have ordered for DS's nursery workers, ideal!

Thanks for posting the picture, ThisUser. I hadn't bothered with the deal, but I am now. DD and I both use Ameliorate and it's flipping expensive stuff!

MilkToastHoney · 17/09/2022 14:00

Long time lurker.

Ordered these for teenage DD, bargain hair curler and straighteners. Lots of other hair tools, hairdryers on there too for £5/6/7.
You need a plug adapter though.

They have loads of make up, Revolution etc good for teens for couple pounds, lip mask for about 30p etc. Loads of cheap stocking fillers.

Thanks @RegeJeanPageMeOnMyCellphone I had forgotten about the playmobil ones.

Trust pilot reviews for this company are pretty awful. Fake products, not based in UK but in Poland and therefore can't return items and won't refund or replace. Faulty items, missing items, wrong item sent - the list goes on.

Proceed with caution ⚠️ Hope you get your stuff and it's ok!

Tins of Quality Street are only £3.50 in Sainsburys

Sorry Blush what I meant was: that some tiktokers are raging about them and they might be useful to someone. Didn’t mean everyone. Sorry again. I’m off to start a teen present ideas thread now. Sorry.
