Ho ho ho and welcome to the bargain Christmas thread - home of the discounts for Christmas shopping.

Thanks @tabbycat985 for the title

If you have a referral link for a website, do post it on this thread

I've just bought 3 mini bottles of Prosecco for £5 at Tesco (£2.85 each individually). Adding them to the Burt's Bees from earlier in the thread and that's school gifts sorted!

Oo thanks for the tip - great idea and I'm going to completely copy you and add to the Burt's Bees things I bought for the teachers too 😂

Thank you for the OK Beauty Box tip. Mine arrived this morning and it is great for £5! It also included a 20% off code for Rituals online: OKBEAUTY2022 valid 1st to 31st October.

Poundland have bags of limited edition, original flavour Opal Fruits for £1. Good stocking filler or token gift for anyone over 35-ish?
I need to go back and get more as DH excitedly claimed a bag before they reached the hiding place!

clpsmum · 24/09/2022 13:42

I'm late to the party just joining will let you know if any bargains i spot

Ewock · 24/09/2022 13:42

I'm probably too late on this but what is the deal for the OK beauty box? Thanks

daisyboo1 · 24/09/2022 13:45

John Lewis has an Urban Decay Naked Reloaded palette for £23.70 and, as @WhereTheresAHill posted, there's free click and collect at the moment.

Ticket to Ride keeps appearing on these threads!! So the question is, should I get it and if so which version?? We love a board game. Tends to be the Trivial Pursuit, Articulate, Tension type games we play. Kids are all in their 20s but will often play a game with us as will their partners. We are all (very) competitive. Any advice regarding suitability, version and what's a good price would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also Articulate is on amazon at the moment for £15.99. A great price.

bizzey · 24/09/2022 13:51

I am so jealous of those people who open their OK beauty boxes properly !!!

I had to hack mine to pieces to get it open 😂.

How on earth do you open these type of boxes .

Still love my stuff !

I have a couple of emails I can use still.

Do you think next month's one will be on the special £5/6 price ?

I got it at £7.50 .

If you go on the website then a pop up should appear offering the first box for £5 (or slightly more for some people)
its a subscription so need to remember to cancel!!

LostMyRubySlippers · 24/09/2022 14:37

Had an email off pebblechild- end of their sale is 70% off & you can use the code SALEONSALE to get a further 50% off. Looks like only a few things left but nice if you have a baby to buy for

masterofnone · 24/09/2022 14:40

Pandemic board game £24.99 on Amazon. Lower than I’ve seen it elsewhere.

Hang on - actual Opal Fruits and not Starbursts? * runs to Poundland *

Sadly the Gryffindor hooded blankets for younger kids (size small) are sold out. If anyone spots when they come back into stock could you please let me know? DD is desperate for one!

PigsInBlanketyBlankets · 24/09/2022 14:56

"Pandemic board game £24.99 on Amazon. Lower than I’ve seen it elsewhere."

That's a good price although if you keep an eye out in Game they have a 20% off board games nearer Christmas. Last year I got it for £16!

DinosaurOfFire · 24/09/2022 15:07

@Maharajah20 Ticket To Ride Europe is the better one I think, although I do like the look of the London Underground one! It's quite replayable as well, as each game feels different, its all dependent on what cards you collect alongside tactics.

Thanks so much, it's a great price. I'll cancel once it's sent out

LemonFrosting · 24/09/2022 15:20

Was it look fantastic we got the beauty boxes from last year, the one with the Neom goodies? I'm hoping they do that one again as mother loved it!!

Chaenomeles · 24/09/2022 15:29

@LateNightTalking Which prosecco/Tesco was it please? It sounds a super offer and I'm just trying to check it before I make a diversion since it's not my usual supermarket, but I can't find any at £2.85 in Tesco online and the only offer seems to be 4 for 3. Thanks!

Yes, our local Premier Store often has the opal fruits for £1 too. 'Sweet' nostalgia 😊

LateNightTalking · 24/09/2022 15:43

It was this one. The offer (possibly a Clubcard offer?) was 3 for £5. It was a Tesco Express but I would have expected the same deal in big stores too.

LateNightTalking · 24/09/2022 15:45

Just checked the app and it's on there for £2.60, the Express stores always bump all princes up! But the offer is better, so worth checking if you have one nearby.

Chaenomeles · 24/09/2022 16:05

@LateNightTalking We're not actually near an express unfortunately, but thank you for checking it for me.
