I joined the NEXT sale early this morning, because I saw online that it started today. There were thousands of items, mostly 50 - 80% off. I assumed that the VIP access had finished by then.

I bought a few things, click and collect. Most of them should be ready to collect by 12 October, a couple say or before 12 October. One should be ready by 19 October.

Not a bargain as such, but if anyone like myself has a dairy allergic child, I have just got his dairy free chocolate advent in Sainsbury for 3.25!!!

Have you seen dairy free chocolate coins anywhere? Do you know if they normally do them?
It's my DD first Christmas and she is dairy free. It's tradition in my family to have chocolate coins in your stocking so I would like her to have some but have no idea if they exist

Theraffarian · 21/09/2022 16:13

Twinsandsome · 21/09/2022 16:35

@Cuwins I got some from the coop last year. Whenever you see some buy them because it’s a real struggle to get them.

That's what I figured. I have been looking anywhere that has Xmas stuff and have my mum and sister looking too

LemonFrosting · 21/09/2022 17:13

@Cuwins Aldi have had a selection of dairy free Xmas goodies the last few years. They definitely had selection boxes and bags of coins as I bought some!

Thank you. I don't go to Aldi normally but will make a point of popping in every so often

Needtostartover · 21/09/2022 17:45

@Cuwins Asda also do a good Christmas selection of dairy free chocolate and I’ve definitely had chocolate coins from there before.

Raindancer411 · 21/09/2022 17:54

@Cuwins As others have said it is hard to get them and even harder last year. The only place I managed last year was the Co-Op. Tesco did disc's but they use the free from kitchen and the Choc tastes awful! Same with H&B, they use to be nice but not now. I usually got to Asda, Co op, or sainsburys if I can.

I did get some Nom reindeers too, but they had an orange one too this year! Sainsbury also usually do a shaped chocolate bar and Asda did a shaped penguins or polar bear last year.

From when my born was born, there is a lot more these days. In fact we use to not do Halloween as nothing really about but last year, Asda did some dairy free chocolate bits!!

Boyes had some Harry Potter bargains earlier- Luna Lovegood 3D scrapbook kit £4.99 (£10 online), magnet casting kit £1.99 and pouch with mini holographic notebook, metallic pen and holo stickers for £1 with either Harry. Ron, Hermione or Luna

I agree with this. Buy them as soon as you see them as they sell out quickly.

I have my own chocolate quest. I'm looking for chocolate carrots. Santa would like to leave something for my DD's favourite cuddly toy.

Jumping on the bandwagon, does anyone have a code that works on a "wow deal" at Go Outdoors? I want to buy my Dad a rucksack for Christmas and it's a little over my budget. Thank you.

I can get a Blue Light discount code, it would be 10%.

PineForestsAndSunshine · 21/09/2022 18:20

This offer popped up on my Instagram:

£5 Stitch Box, free p&p, includes a variety of bamboo knitting needles, wool for a few small projects, a small getting started guide and a large glossy 56-page project book.

It's one of those monthly-subscription part-works things, but looks like you only have to email them to cancel (plus I would cancel the DD too to be on the safe side)

hachettepartworks.com/en-en/collection-stitch-box/?utm_source=CastOn&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=MB202UK&hct=202F1

I crochet rather than knit, but for £5 I am very tempted to get one for myself and give it a go...

LunaCrystal · 21/09/2022 18:52

These two Wax Lyrical Candles have been reduced. The other 2 are still almost £16

I've ordered this lego box, plus 1kg of bulk assorted lego from ebay to fill it, it seemed like a good deal. My 3.5 year old loves building and likes his little lego sets, but they don't get as much play as his random duplo blocks that he uses for free building.

Also saw this little stacking toy, I've ordered for baby who will be almost 1 by Xmas, her big brother has been asking for one lately and it's one of the few things we don't actually have here already! Jacques of London items have been lovely and well used previously.

The ukulele from upthread comes tomorrow, just had notification!

They're not crazy spoiled btw, they just both have January birthdays so it's crazy present buying time (and dp has his birthday in-between Xmas and New year too...)

Looking for good deals on bourbon, single malts and port if anyone spots them. There was a fab website last year but I forget the name :(

Tesco's have book advent calendars with 20% off. Included the Gruffalo book calender and a Marvel or Disney for £9.99. They are huge (bigger than A3, with 24 story or activity books, can be reused too.
I got the Disney one (via Amazon) last year for my niece (3yo) and it went down really well.
