£15 cashback with Asda rewards on this lynx gift set. Might be good for pre teen / teen boys , or could be split up for stockings

Thanks @RegeJeanPageMeOnMyCellphone I had forgotten about the playmobil ones.

I’ve bought a few gifts from little fawn box, these crinkly newspapers are popular with babies. And there’s some other bargains in the sale

Thank you for this. My DD got given a crinkly newspaper from a friend and loves it, might get her another one

torthecatlady · 17/09/2022 21:38

Has anyone seen any (DIY) gift baskets that come with the cellophane wrap? I want to do one for dss for Christmas but also for friends who will be moving into their first home in a couple of months.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2022 21:43

@torthecatlady, The Works has them.

ThisUserNameIsAvailableOk · 17/09/2022 21:45

@torthecatlady you can get the baskets in card factory and Poundland do rolls of cellophane

Having just scrolled back through 100 posts of chat and not a bargain to be had, I think maybe someone could start a "gifts for teens" or whatever thread. That way bargains won't be missed.

My ok beauty box arrived. A fiver delivered and vouchers for 2 free magazines! Very happy with that. I might try again with DH card and email!

They are soooo good if you get the offer then cancel Grin

torthecatlady · 17/09/2022 22:06

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy and @ThisUserNameIsAvailableOk

I'd completely forgotten that the works had them and didn't even think to look for cellophane from pound land... might be a good shout for the gin for MIL.

Was it last year people were buying fancy ribbon from somewhere online?

NoWordForFluffy · 17/09/2022 22:08

Do you mean the cheap ribbon place? I recall it, but not the name. And as they've totally buggered the searching ability since the update, you'll have a hard time finding it!

Otherwise, Cox & Cox for fancy ribbon!

WhereIsThisGoing · 17/09/2022 22:11

Really recommend awesomebooks.com for those looking for any new or second hand books. 20% off your first order, free delivery and they will donate a book to various literacy projects for every one you buy (and fantastic customer service for the one time I had an issue with my order!).

CottonHeadedNinnyMug · 17/09/2022 22:12

I think the ribbon Place is fantasticribbons.com

NoDairyNoProblem · 17/09/2022 22:21

I got lovely velvet ribbon from Amazon last year - 10m for under £4 delivered.

LunaCrystal · 17/09/2022 22:28

Can I please say a huge THANK YOU to whoever posted about the Avengers Book Advent Calendar on Thursday. £3 plus £2.99 postage. It came today and is HUGE!!! The price sticker says £20 original price at The Works. It’s so brilliant, I went to order another but it’s back up to £14.99 now, shame!

Also thank you to whoever posted about the huge bag of fidget toys yesterday. Mine came this evening and I’m super happy. Will be dividing them between all the kids stockings 😀

Hope I can find some bargains to post for you all soon

Nails Inc website usually has some good stuff in the sale section for stocking fillers etc. Some nice gift sets and other collections of things that could gifted as is, or split. They also have some skin care, make up and lip balm etc as well as nail polish. Also a free nail polish added to cart when you spend £40, I just discovered. Free shipping over £25.

Thanks for this! Nails inc polish was on my mum’s list, got her a set at 67% off, plus a polish for myself (10% off with code FIRST10), then added a £2 lip balm to get it over the £40 threshold for the free nail polish (& 4.5% cashback via Quidco) 😀

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 17/09/2022 22:50

Do you have a link to the ribbon please @NoDairyNoProblem ?

For anyone that hasn't seen them before - Olive & Sage do lovely garden ornaments (fairy doors etc) and have a sale on at the moment.

Suck it & Say have a sale on some personalised Christmas lollipops including some for the dreaded Elf on the Shelf

Scottish Fine Soaps have a 4 for 3 offer using code SOAPY4F3

woodwaj · 17/09/2022 22:58

@torthecatlady I saw some in my local b&m this week now the Christmas stock is coming out.

Plenty of snuddies in primark yesterday. This one was £20

£5 postage for the bic pens so I'm putting up the standard warning to not just click buy now and get a surprise!

torthecatlady · 17/09/2022 23:18

Thanks for all of the suggestions for the ribbon!

Cox and Cox is beautiful, but so pricey. I'll end up buying stuff I don't need but forgetting the ribbon Blush

I'm going to go down a little ribbon rabbit hole now! 🐇

Chelsea Peers has some great items in the outlet. Lot's of PJs - plus sizes too - the fleece ones were a big hit last year

Cheers for the heads up. Picked up two lovely pairs of pjs. 50% off.

Harry Potter chocolate frogs are 65p in M&S and on Ocado. Fun stocking filler for a HP (or chocolate) fan.

MummyGummy · 17/09/2022 23:25

"£5 postage for the bic pens so I'm putting up the standard warning to not just click buy now and get a surprise!"

I ordered earlier and just double checked. Free postage on mine.

NoDairyNoProblem · 18/09/2022 00:02

Asda Christmas Pyjamas are online now. These are more winter themed and if anything like last year ears will wash great. DD is still using hers from her 1st December box!

There is a gravitrax advent calendar which is apparently its best amazon price ever at around £26. You need to select other sellers and it isn't due to be dispatched until October, but the reviews look good.
