Thinking about booking Christmas at Stourhead for this year but it's not cheap. Has anyone been and would they recommend it please? 3DDs 10,11,13.

I went with family (DM late 50s / DSis, DBIL and DH all in their 30s / DNieces 4yo & 6m) Christmas of 2020 when our Pole Express train ride was cancelled due to Covid. We loved it and are thinking about booking again for this year. Great value for money compared to other light exhibits locally like Longleat which is really expensive.

Thanks @FarmersWife2019 was it the Stourhead one you went to? Is it just lights or is there any stuff to do there please? Sorry for all the questions!

We went last year and wouldn't go again. A lot of money for a short experience .
Longleat lights are much better value for the money, lot more to see and do.

Yes it was the Stourhead one. It was pretty much the only thing open in December 2020. From what I remember it’s mostly lights with a Santa feature half way round where you could take a photo. There was food and drink available at the start/end but not a huge amount. To be fair to @JPduck’s comments Longleat does have more to do. Just individual preference I guess.

We went in 2020 and wouldn’t go again, it was so packed that you could really stop and look at the lights properly. We’ve booked Longleat this year instead.
