Hi all,

DD6 is so so easy to buy for. Her list is basically done.

DS4 however is a completely different ball game.

nothing big because his room is small, he’s got every Thomas the tank engine train in existence thanks to my mum for saving my brothers old bits in the loft, so I’m really stuck.

he likes Blippi, Bluey, and Paw Patrol as well as Thomas.

thanks!!

Dc4 will be 3.5 at Christmas (closer to 4) and so far:
playmobil take along fire station
playmobil fire truck
Hot Wheels cars
bug hunting kit
some of the Bluey toys look ok, dd5 is always on about them.

Brilliant thankyou, I’ll keep an eye out for some bits. Bug hunting sounds really good!

I haven't started Christmas shopping yet but for my 4yo birthday coming up, he's getting (not all from us) Marvel action figures, Buzz and Woody toys, an inflatable football goal, a Paw Patrol toy, one of those dig for a fossil kits. For Christmas I'm thinking maybe a transformer toy, a sylvanian caravan or shop. Also some new books, probably Julia Donaldson.

Marvel is a fantastic shout! I’d forgotten about his love for Spider-Man 😂

My 4 year old has every bloody dinosaur going but still wants more.. so getting him thr super colossal t-Rex figure.

He loves sea creatures too so getting him a hot wheels shark thing, a Lego fish tank thing I've seen, a "realistic octopus toy that's not a teddy" (need to find this 😂) and going to adopt him a shark from the deep then go visit on his birthday which is just after Christmas!

My first was train mad..could you plan a day just after Christmas to take him to the train museum in york? (Depending on where you live obviously!).

Lego train set? Different wooden Thomas characters?

Also I got mine Amazon tablets at 4!

I'm getting him the screwball scramble game (the original can be joined onto the second version!). Maybe look at games in general my son loves them. I will probably get a bluey puzzle too as he's requested this. His birthday is also coming up ive got him an avengers puzzle, spiderman costume, and a yoto player with a good selection of story cards. I think I will get him a lego set for Xmas too as he's just recently taken an interest in following the instructions (with help!)

Another idea is sea monkeys. We got some in the summer holidays and they've been great.

Rainallnight · 01/09/2022 23:14

Skateboard, if I think my nerves can handle it.

MsChatterbox · 01/09/2022 23:14

Also a good one is those dinosaur eggs they have to excavate themselves - just make sure they're done outside they're quite messy!!

A yoto player has been my son's all time favourite and most used present. Added bonus that it doesn't take up loads of space.

What's a yoto player?

WhyDoesItAlways · 02/09/2022 06:37

It's an Audio player similar to the tonies box.

I second the Yoto player! Dgd (6) got one last Christmas and I was sceptical but it's turned out to be her most used and treasured item, I really wish we'd bought one sooner. Cards aren't to expensive and often on offer, or cheaper with the yoto club. New cards are now my go to gift for birthdays/Christmas etc.
